Amazing modern friendly stay
Pros:

Lovely small hotel in easy reach of everything you want to see in Sigiriya. The staff are all lovely & Bernard goes above & beyond to make sure all his guests are happy, ask him & he will make it happen! The chef is amazing!!! (Everyone should try at least one lunch or dinner here!) Nice clean pool.

Bon compromis pour avoir une piscine et du neuf mais rien de parfait et un peu cher
Pros:

- la disponibilité et la gentille du staff
- la piscine très agréable l’après midi
- les grandes chambres
- le petit déjeuner lorsqu’ils est servi et non en buffet

Cons:

En revanche, ce n’est pas un « hotel » a proprement parlé et il ne mérite pas un 10/10 notamment à 60euros la nuit
- j’ai du demander pour que la chambre soit faite pour le cleaning
- les draps étaient troués
- les rideaux ne sont que décoratifs et ne permettent pas d’occlure toute la lumière
- pas de bouteille d’eau dans la chambre
- la salle de bain manque de petites serviettes, de quelque chose pour poser ses affaires

On a passé un bon moment mais l’hôtel n’a pas de charme dans les chambres. L’extérieur est très agréable, le staff aux petits oignons néanmoins on est un peu loin du centre donc je pense que le prix n’est pas parfaitement justifié.

Genial! Volveremos.
Pros:

Impecable, bonito y agradable, habitaciones cómodas y amplias. Personal muy servicial y amable, piscina y jardín muy cuidado. Buen restaurante y a 5 min en tuktuk de zona principal.

Cons:

Un poco de ruido por obras, pero es normal ya que están expandiendo, así que no me quejo.

Pros:

Iso siisti huone. Korkea huonekorkeus toi vielä lisää tilan tuntua. Hyvä sänky, sai kunnon yöunet. AC hyvässä paikassa; viilensi yöllä mutta ei puhaltanut suoraan sänkyyn. Erinomainen suihku. Aamiainen hyvä ja riittävä. Uima-allas iso plussa sillä alueen majapaikoissa ei ole montakaan allasta. Hiljainen yöllä.

Cons:

Huoneessa ei ollut safety boxia.
Luottokortilla maksaessa lisäsivät laskuun 3%. Summa ei ollut iso, mutta luottokortin tulisi tänä päivänä olla hotellimaksuissa arkipäivää. Käteisellä olisivat mielellään myös maksun ottaneet.

Absolute Empfehlung!
Pros:

Wir hatten eine rundum perfekte Übernachtung. unser Tuktuk konnten wir direkt vor dem Hotel parken. Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir so herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. Das gesamte Hotelteam ist außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und stets zuvorkommend.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gemütlich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch das hervorragende Abendessen! Alles wird vor Ort frisch zubereitet und wir konnten quasi ein ganzes Menü testen und genießen. Man merkt, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird.

Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Great hotel and helpful staff
Pros:

Clean, spacious rooms, lovely pool and sun loungers, with very helpful staff. The manager, Bernard, gave some excellent advice (piduragula for sunrise and Sigiriya in the late afternoon) and was very kind and arranged everything. Food great and v good value compared with outside.

Een warm, verzorgd en ontspannen verblijf
Pros:

Wat een fijn verblijf bij Lions Gate Hotel.
Het team onder leiding van Mr. Bernard zorgt voor een warme, oprechte sfeer. Je voelt je hier echt welkom. Sandu bij de receptie helpt je met alles, altijd vriendelijk en rustig.

Mr. Bernard regelt betrouwbare safari’s en tuktukchauffeurs, wat veel rust geeft. De safari met Nilantha is absoluut een aanrader. Het eten is heerlijk: de koks Bobudu en Senivrathana maken elke dag verrassende, traditionele Sri Lankaanse gerechten met veel smaak.

De kamers zijn comfortabel en schoon en het zwembad is een fijne plek om te ontspannen. De wifi is soms wat instabiel en de stroom valt af en toe uit, maar dat weegt niet op tegen de gastvrijheid en sfeer.

Een echte aanrader in Sigiriya.

Pros:

We had a truly wonderful stay here. From the welcome drinks, to the rooms - which had everything we needed - to the restaurant, everything was excellent.

The hotel helped us arrange transportation and anything else we needed during our stay, all at very reasonable prices. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, including the breakfasts, which were delicious and varied each day with something a little different and local.

We really felt at home here and would happily recommend this place to others.

Best hotel in Sigiriya!
Pros:

We had a really lovely, short stay. There’s a great, large pool and great breakfast and dinner menu. Real highlight is the staff led by Bernard but the cook and all the staff were very friendly, talkative and helpful! The cook even prepared extra Sri Lanka specialities for us.

Cons:

Nothing, would stay here again and would have liked to stay for one more night!

mooie accomodatie met zwembad, zeer enthousiaste manager, regelde alles.

prima ontvangst van de manager ter plaatse, mooie accomodatie met geweldig zwembad, en prima ontbijt

Cons:

op dag 2 hebben we zonder water gezeten, zou meteen gemaakt worden, maar de dag erna pas weer water.

Pros:

We were only here one night but it was a very pleasant stay and was just what we needed. The room is large and very clear. We didn't use it, but the pool is beautiful. The manager helped up book a Tuk tuk to Lion Rock and Piduranagala. The tuk tuk driver was so kind and transported us from one place to another and back to the hotel.
