The area the pods were in smelled bad and the walls are very thin. I could hear and feel the vibrations of the man snoring in the pod above mine.

It can get noisy , earplugs are recommended.

Fresh air cannot get in from outside;
you end up breathing nothing but the carbon dioxide, cold-causing bacteria, and formaldehyde fumes left behind by previous guests.

I am an architect, and I see the building 3 floor—isn't a window opens to outside for ventilation;
The designer sealed off all the exterior windows:

In the event of a fire, escape would be impossible.
Even without a fire, cold-causing bacteria are forced to spread from one guest to another.

The designer simply want to use air conditioning to numb the guests:

Letting them enjoy "cool carbon dioxide laced with formaldehyde and cold-causing bacteria"...

...instead of "cool, fresh, clean, and formaldehyde-free oxygen."

However, the actual building itself needs updating, the entrance is always left open which felt a bit unsafe, the stairways up to the rooms are very dirty and old, with a few dead cockroaches which weren't removed the whole time. Which is a shame because if this was fixed it would have been a much more pleasant stay.

Es gab eine only Slipper Policy und man sollte sie auch für das Badezimmer ausziehen. Ich fand allerdings die Sauberkeit nicht angemessen, ich wäre ungerne Barfuß gegangen.

Having to download an app for check in. Bathrooms smelt bad. Having to leave our shoes in a locker at the front.

The bathrooms and floors in general haven't been sanitised in a long time (showers full of hair).

Both the door on the street and the door to access the rooms are always open and do not lock so ANYONE from the street virtually has access all the way to the door of your pod, which doesn't feel very safe

It’s just messy, two guy we’re having sex in the shower then I go in and all their fluids are in the bathroom floor.

Also, outside the property is just bad… stinks.
