Overall, my experience was about an 8/10. The hotel is older, so don’t expect anything modern or newly renovated.

Starting with the reception, I called ahead to ask about the deposit and breakfast. Unfortunately, I was given incorrect information. I was told the deposit would be $100 for two rooms, but I was actually charged $150 per room. I was also told breakfast was included with my reservation, which turned out not to be true.

When I got to the rooms (220 and 218), there were a few issues. One of the toilets was leaking, but to their credit, the front desk responded quickly and had it fixed right away. However, the AC in one of the rooms wasn’t working and couldn’t be repaired during our stay. The walls are also very thin, so you can hear a lot of noise from neighboring rooms.

On the positive side, the rooms themselves are a decent size. The bathrooms, however, are quite small—really only comfortable for one person at a time. Parking was another downside; it’s hard to find and costs $60 per night, which feels excessive.

There’s no microwave, but there is a fridge, which was helpful. Aside from the issues mentioned, everything else was good and the stay was overall decent. The location is also a big plus—close to restaurants and the cable car, making it easy to get around. It also felt relatively safe and clean in the immediate area, with fewer street issues compared to other parts of the city.

Pros:

飯店地點佳，但門口街道附近有很多流浪漢，盡量不要晚上出門！房間設施老舊，廁所門鎖壞掉，空調也無法運作，窗戶也很難推開，空氣不太好，偶爾也會聞到大麻味

Truly a 3 star hotel as advertised. Some convenience with location and ok price, but expect 3 stars

Front staff were nice, bed was decent. Location was iffy, in terms of proximity to other places - decent, easy to get around.

I guess the hotel is truly 3 star, and i would give it exactly that.
Location as mentioned previously is decent to get to other locations and attractions etc, however fifth st is pretty sketchy with a lot of homeless people around, could really worry some people.
Bed was ok, but also trying to find a plug to charge my phone i had to move the bed physically to get to the plug behind it on the floor, or there was one on the end of the bed by the floor, not convinent. TV wasnt working when i got there and they said i had to wait till the morning for someone to come and fix it (they did fix it in the morning though)

In the bathroom, if you are slightly tall (or to be honest, just not short) prepare to really bend over to get to the sink (super low). The shower itself, you almost need to be really strong to get the water on buy really pulling at the water lever

Fridge AC/Cooler or something was rattling all night, had to unplug it completely. Street noise loud.

Happy with the location and the breakfast. Wish the room and bathroom were bigger for 3 guests.
Pros:

Issues with room were immediately fixed. Location of hotel to Powell station was great for travel to SFO. Close to bus stops too. We chose the option to include breakfast. The food choices were plentiful, and what we ordered was mostly tasty.

Cons:

The AC was not working upon arrival.
The stopper in the sink was broken so the water wasn’t draining.
But these were fixed immediately.
There were not many outlets to plug our electronics. One of the outlet was “loose” that is anything we plugged in was not snug and therefore we couldn’t charge. Sometimes when we jiggled it, it would work.
The room and bathroom were smaller than we expected. Didn’t have enough room to place toiletries for 3 people.
SF was going through a heatwave with temps in the mid 80’s so the hotel exteriors were warm/hot. Understandable since someone told us that normally it’s in the 60’s.
