Good value for the location.
Pros:

It's convenient to several bus stops if you're using the bus lines, a short walk to the station, and of course near several convenience stores. Easy access to several shrines, lots of shopping, all very walkable. Pretty standard APA room (small), but comfortable if you don't have too much luggage.

Cons:

I stayed at several APA hotels this trip, and all of them had underwhelming breakfasts—I don't know if it was just the locations we were at, or if inflation has lead to cost-cutting measures? It's fine, and still a good value if you want the convenience of starting your day with a buffet instead of a going out to a cafe, but it wasn't as great as previous trips.

Pros:

Nice location for a slightly longer stay—very comfortable/safe/walkable/convenient neighborhood, close to Kyoto Station and many bus stops. Standard APA room, small but comfortable. Decent breakfast for the price if you prefer in-hotel to going out for breakfast.

Cons:

For a 10 day stay, the breakfast got monotonous; not my favorite spread compared to other APA locations I've stayed at. It's good, but not the best I've seen.
