Location is good for us and our business.
Food and staff are friendly.

Cons:

Bathrooms and bedrooms need an upgrade.
Had to request another room as bed mattress rock hard.Faulty shower control and scolding hot water.
The staff on duty were very helpful and sorted another room.
I was told the manager would be informed, no direct contact made to even offer an apology. I find this extremely poor. We have used this hotel several times,
but will be looking for alternatives over the next few months.

Lovely hotel, wonderful staff.
Pros:

The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Even the domestic staff were lovely and kind! A minor issue with my initial room was swiftly sorted by changing me to a different one, which I was very grateful for.

Cons:

The quality of the food was very good...except for the breakfast toast! It only stood out as a niggle because everything else was so nice. The bread that came with other meals was lovely.

The negative points would not stop me coming back, but would improve the stay.
Pros:

Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. There is always a good atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, warm and welcoming. Parking is easy, and the surrounding location of the hotel is an additional benefit.
The shower was fabulous, high pressure, hot water.
I had of scrambled egg & salmon, and full Scottish breakfast was excellent 10/10. You didn’t feel you were being rushed into finishing.

Cons:

I have stayed at this hotel several times, but the carpets in room 9 needs changing as does the stair carpet which looked tiered. The bed also felt in need of replacement, it felt as though it was collapsing into the middle, and a mattress topper was being used to extend its life. If the bed is replaced it should be a king sized.

A lovely hotel offering everything needed for a short stay for business or leisure.
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel with a lot going for it. Nice staff, good bar and restaurant areas and easy parking. It is picturesque and has been sympathetically updated.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed some good food and drink. Breakfast offered an excellent variety and was delicious.

Cons:

Our bedroom had no window! Not that it didn't have a view, but that it literally did not have a window. We had paid for an upgrade but, in all honestly, if we'd known that the upgrade would mean a slightly larger room with no window then we definitely wouldn't have bothered.

Pros:

Staff were very nice and helpful. Good value for money.

Cons:

Room was not like the pictures. The only window was on the roof that you couldn’t even open / shut as it was so high up. It felt like you were in a basement. There was a loud party downstairs blasting music till the late hours of the night. The tv was not even a smart tv. Bathroom was a bit dirty.
