Location convenient; food good quality; staff very pleasant
Grout in bathroom needs replacing; evidence in bedroom of water ingress from tiles around bath/over bath shower (wallpaper lifting on wall adjoining bathroom); stairs and landing carpets filthy - need hoovered &washed or preferably replaced! Chairs in restaurant all stained - all need cleaned/upholstery replaced

Our 4th stay at this hotel, our room was spacious and offered a lovely view over the gardens. The breakfast buffet features a wide variety of choices, including a delicious eggs benedict with smoked salmon, while the dinner menu offers a great range of tasty dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially with my grandchildren. Saturday afternoon tea with fresh Earl Grey never disappoints, and we always look forward to our walks around the beautiful lawns and forest area.

Very disappointing meal in the evening. Slow cooked beef looked worse than school dinners. . Was supposed to be with potato wedges, but came with chips. Gravy was like glue and lumpy. All slopped on the plate.

The wifi was poor in my room
The location is lovely. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Will stay again without hesitation.
The buffet breakfast was lovely and a nice selection but could be hotter. By the time I sat down to eat it was cold.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly at both dinner and breakfast. The hotel itself was fine for the price we paid. But it was the staff the making the extra effort that made the positive difference to our stay.
Some of the decor in the halls was a bit tired. But the rest of the hotel was fine.

Quiet rooms with comfy bedding. Showers were hot and had decent pressure. Staff were friendly.
The mushrooms and the vegetarian sausages with the breakfast had a bit of an odd taste.
The hotel was excellent, the breakfast was excellent, I booked the wife a massage in the spa which she said was excellent thus for that moment I was excellent. All in all an excellent weekend.

Beds depending on the room as had 3, we're absolutely sunken on the middle and spring can be felt.
Chairs in dining room need replacing as sunken seat due to over use.

Much lower standard than the basic other hotel chains.
When I spoke to reception about the bed I was offered more duvets to lie on to avoid feeling the spring.

The adjoining ground floor rooms we were relegated allocated to as the family room we had initially booked was up flights of stairs and not suitable for people with mobility issues
No lift
Breakfast is great, a lot of choice. Bedroom nice, clean and comfortable.
Shower fittings were not as good as expected, loose controls and not sure how to operate.
