Shit and nothing like the pictures false advertisement
Absolutely disgusting off a place nuthink like on the photos and false advertisement
Lovely setting with plenty of areas outside to sit and enjoy the grounds. Without exception the staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the evening meal in the restaurant and the sunny bar area is very pleasant to sit and relax during the day or enjoy a quiet drink in the evening. The hotel is in a very good location for visiting different attractions in the area, a perfect place to meet up with friends, I’ll definitely stay here again.
There isn’t a lift which made it quite difficult getting my suitcase up and down the stairs although I was told I could have requested a ground floor room when booking which I will do in the future.
We was seated in the bar for dinner which was not very good and the food was poor, also not enough staff on to be able to give proper service in the bar and reception
It was very clean and the beds are comfortable. The curtains blacked out the light for a good nights sleep. It was very quiet and peaceful. We had a lovely breakfast too.
The only thing was tte bedroom was too warm. I would have liked to turn down the heat on the towel rail in the bathroom. The radiator in the bedroom was off.
Our room on the ground floor is a good size and well furnished, and walk in shower ideal for me.
Breakfast buffet always has plenty of choice, and there are also cooked items to order.
Set in lovely grounds.
Nothing.
Overrall our experience at the hotel was good, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, on entering the hotel we were fifteen minutes late due to traffic out of our control. I felt things were not explained very well around times of our meals that had been booked and the booking of the hotel. The second member of staff at reception was more clear and welcoming and explained things properly.
The chandelier hanging over the staircase was very dusty and the dining room looks like it could do with a touch up of paint.
Our room the curtains were very dirty on the lining and very off putting to try and relax whilst you can see the horrible brown on curtains lining.
Garden lovely
First room offered smelled
Convenient location and clean rooms
During breakfast , a young blonde staff member asked us if we went additional food and so we requested for 2 fried eggs and some vegetables sausages which she agreed to provide . However after waiting for about 30-40 mins when no one approached us , we had it followed up with the same girl and she said that it’s coming . With that we waited for another 10 mins , we asked a different waitress and she said apologised as there was no order sent to the kitchen - she asked if we want another food but we just said we’re okay as we already waited long enough.
American/English couple spending 3 nights in early April. We upgraded to a deluxe (?) room (1 above a standard). These are situated in the original part of the building, which we loved. Fantastic experience overall. Great location, pretty grounds and free parking. Nice staff. Hot shower, comfy beds, CLEAN, loved the tea/coffee and water in the room as well as the fluffy bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was really fantastic with loads of choice of hot and cold buffet and multiple choice of coffee's etc. couldn't fault. The lady working it was running her behind off - she needs a bonus! Thank you for providing a lovely place to stay. We received our requested mini fridge on day 2 and that was great! No time to use the hot tub but hopefully next time - we will go back.
A mention here because it was disappointing but understandable. I'll include 1 negative pic because you really don't want room 211 if you can help it, it overlooks a corner of the property that contains all rubbish and recycling- and it wasn't pretty for an upgraded room. In fact, they smartly try to hide it with frosted windows in the room because it's so unsightly but then you have zero view. Understandable because we showed up to a wedding event and I'm sure this was a last resort for the hotel to put us in here but we had 2 more nights, so they were happy to move us into a room on the same floor with a beautiful view the next night and this room was beautiful with a lovely garden view. Thank you.
Restaurant and bar, welcoming and great food. All staff were really friendly and professional.
Nothing
Plenty of disabled parking out front and room was on ground floor. Everything easily accesible. Sunday lunch was great
Plumbing seemed a bit rubbish as went to the toilet and it was ages before there was enough water to flush again
