Nice hotel, good location, good facilities, lovely staff, would definitely stay here again.

All members of staff that I interacted with were friendly & efficient.
My room was comfortable, clean, & well-appointed.
All public areas were clean & in good order.
At the weekend, everything, including hot breakfast items, was laid out on the buffet ready to be selected. There was a very good selection & the food was nice. There was no decaffeinated coffee but, as soon as I requested it, it was provided quickly & with a smile.

Cons:

The wi-fi was unacceptably slow both in my room & in the public areas of the hotel.
Unlike at weekends, on weekdays, only cold items are laid out on the buffet & hot breakfast items have to be specifically ordered. For me, there was no delay in the server taking the order but, although there were few people in the dining room, the items took quite a while to arrive. They were not cooked as nicely as the items that had been available in the hot buffet the previous day (a Sunday).

Pros:

One of the better British hotels. Ratio price and quality bad, as is typical for this country's hotels.
Room was fairly nice with reasonable facilities and reminded European hotels a little bit, though it was quite worn off.

Pros:

Handy for M42 and M5 South

Cons:

The room was cold, the bed uncomfortable and hotel had no lift.
The room wasn’t cleaned properly, a filthy towel was left in shower and rubbish from previous occupant was left in the bin.
As this was a quick stopover after a funeral and a 8 hour drive (plus a forced M5 closure) I slept on top of the bed and checked out at 530am.
I’ve also called and messaged repeatedly about a ring I left behind but no one has bothered to reply.
