House and gardens are lovely, rooms are unique and have character. The staff were lovely, and tried their best to help when things didn’t quite go to plan.
It’s dated and in need of a refurb. Keys for door locks and my room didn’t seem to lock properly. Significant lack of hot water in the rooms for showers etc. Ordered room service two nights in a hotel own on the app they make you download, only for the order to not arrive.

The food and dining room was spot.
The room was freezing. I had an oil heater for the room. There was barely any hot water. Single glazed window with a right breeze. Guests noisy, and when I contacted reception to complain nobody picked up for ages. Then I was called mate, and told I’m not normally on reception, brilliant mate.
