- Great Beltline Location
- Super friendly and helpful staff
- Huge suite
- Everything feels a bit dated
- "Kitchen" as advertised was not very functional, cutlery was damaged and sharp in places, bowls were more like very small saucers, etc, etc.
The staff were beyond kind and accommodating. Being NYE weekend it was VERY busy and they handled every customer with kindness, understanding, respect and kept cool under pressure. We ordered food to the main desk very late into the night and forgot to grab it, we went down around 6:00AM and the person on desk actually kept our meal in the back room. It was so appreciated - truly the staff made this stay as great as it was!! We will be booking again!!
Nothing, the room was a good size, had kitchenette, comfy bed, we could control our thermostat, bathroom in great condition - nothing to complain about.
Great hotel to stay at
Breakfast was okay
Paying $21 a night because I used booking.com and not the direct hotel website
Good location and rooms were okay.
Had difficulties with staff - we were told we hadn’t paid when checking into the property even though we had. We were then assured that this would be refunded at the end of our stay. After reminding the front desk multiple times of our situation we were still overcharged after the conclusion of our stay, including the holding fee. We have now begun contacting the hotel to try and get this sorted. Just an issue that could have been avoided at multiple steps along the way, that we have continually had to push to be rectified.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the carpark was safe and secure. Bathroom was clean and soap was nice.
Room was dingy, lamps broken/tattered and a musty smell in the room. The building is in need of an exterior update.
The continental breakfast is plentiful, and the location provides an easy walk to both downtown and the shops on 17th Ave.
There are numerous restaurants for all budgets, all tastes, in close proximity and a convenience store directly across the street.
The toilet in our room clogged, and it took two trips to the front desk and almost two hours to have it addressed. In order to rectify the issue, the staff provided a plunger. Delivered to the room. For us, the paying guests, to unclog the toilet. Yes, it was a quick 30 second fix; no, it should not have been incumbent on a guest to do so. The plunger was left in the room with us.
There is an extremely long wait for elevators in the mornings; rather than dedicate one elevator for staff and one for guests, both elevators were in use by the housekeeping staff with large carts of cleaning supplies. At the same time guests with luggage were in the process of checking out. After waiting 10+ minutes for an elevator, we noticed a number of guests simply giving up and using the stairs (the stairs were not an option for seniors with rooms on the 5th and 6th floors).
Parking should be included in the room cost, not an additional charge of $20+ per day.
The staff were lovely. Diana at the Front Desk was particularly helpful and accommodating.
There were a lot of renovations happening during my stay.
Was able to check in early - and was given a bigger room!
Housekeeping staff were able to set the clock, and help with the coffee maker - most helpful.
Front desk staff were also very helpful and friendly.
Nothing really.
Very happy with the hotel. Although it looked like it was in a very seedy area of Calgary when approached from the north, it is just near 17th Ave SW which is really trendy. They should put that in their promo material.
Very pleasant staff, nice hotel just a little dated but overall clean and pleasant experience.
AC unit was very loud.
Clean rooms, nice location
Good wifi
Poor reception staff
Monotonous breakfast
Clean room
Property is tired and needs attention.
