Pros:

Besides being in the city centre it was very quiet.
Staff was very friendly.
Bed was super comfortable.

Cons:

The blackout curtains and the absence of nice drapes gave it a bit of a shabby appearance, which is a shame because it was a very nice suite.

Pros:

The heated toilet seat

Cons:

The elevators weren’t working and we had no notice. The front desk was rude upon arrival and was very short with everything I had to say. We had no one offer to help us with our luggage when it was apparent I was injured.

Short but interesting.
Pros:

Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was ok. Basic but only paid £7 for it so it matched expectations. Calgary in general had a shabby feel to it, that said, I’d just come from Tokyo so it was a big culture change. Lots of social issues very visible but the people we spoke to were lovely and I imagine a longer stay would let me see the best of the city

Hotel was basic, neighbourhood was quite shabby and lots of visible social issues, homelessness and drug use.
