Finally managing to leave the hotel
The man managing the desk of the hotel did not speak any English. The wifi did not work and the rooms are small. The hotel is completely surouded by mosques that call for prayer at 4:30 am and continue for an hour. I know this is the case in most cities in Indonesia but at this hotel is was worse. The hotel is not located in a nice area of the city and even a decent restaurant is hard to find in the area. Finally, when we wanted to leave the hotel in the morning to catch a ferry we found that the gate of the hotel was locked and we could not leave the hotel. There was no one of the hotel to open te gate and so we had to climb over the (3m) gate with our backpacks to get out of the hotel in time to catch our ferry. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

the swimming pool was lovely and the staff were great.
the location was depressing in my opinion, nothing to do in Mataram at all, we literally stayed indoors the whole of our stay. we also weren’t provided a cover / duvet for the bed , had to make do with a single little blanket that we asked for.
