Great except for the electricity bill and the weather!
Pros:

The place was absolutely fine, just one negative issue. We arrived at the place to find that an electricity charge would be added to our bill. Now I can see why you did this BUT the information about the charge was well hidden on the 11th scroll down page on your website, this does not seem an acceptable way to treat the people staying with you: the need for a charge should be up front.

Disappointing facilities, and lack of management support
Pros:

The receptionist was very friendly

Cons:

Our lodge stank of food, and even after airing it for several hours it still was so bad we could not stay in the facility. We didn’t get offered an alternative solution left to go home - so instead of staying for two nights we didn’t spend anytime at the facility. Despite raising this the hotel refused a refund or any gesture to recognise the issue. We will never stay in a Hilton again.

Not sure about the additional cost for electricity. £45 for 3 days in a lodge is a bit pricey.

At the time of booking with booking.com I was not aware that I would have to pay for electricity on top, and the apartment was very cold on my arrival.

You do not know which lodge you are going to get when you book. It could be one in a block or a detached one. This seems rather atypical when booking accomodation.

Very good / clean well served restaurant. Leisure facilties excellent, well maintained / clean / well staffed..
Lodges cleaned to a good standard & all facilities inside in good condition.

Cons:

Bedding ( mattrass / pillows) could be improved but maybe this a personal thing !

Pros:

Ballater is beautiful, the pool etc was fantastic.
Unfortunately the bed in lodge was very uncomfortable & a small double pull down bed. So we never got a very good sleep on both nights. 😟 Lodge was nice but quite dated decor could be done with a bit of a revamp
