Rubbish thought it was cooked breakfast had to go and look for one, paid 12 pound for parking the 1st morn of our stay our bay we paid for was taken up with a van staff was not interested left that morn had enough
Having proper breakfast been Diabetic have to eat properly
Probably the best location in Scarborough, managed to park on the hotel site, great views over the coastline.
The hotel was not offering proper English breakfasts at the time of our visit, just continental style, but I guess this would suit many people.
Clean and comfy and a great veiw
Shower was cold I couldn't do it but cold shower woke me up
The view of the ocean was perfect.
The photos online must’ve been taken in 1997 before the building gave up on life. Walked into the room and instantly understood why the receptionist looked guilty handing me the key. The carpet had stains that looked historically significant, the bathroom smelled like a blocked drain fighting for its life, and I’m pretty sure the mattress was filled with broken dreams and cigarette ash.
To make things even better, breakfast wasn’t even included — they actually charged extra for it — not that it mattered because the restaurant was closed anyway. Nothing says luxury quite like paying separately for a meal that doesn’t exist. Wandering around hungry in a filthy hotel at 8am really completed the experience.
The whole place felt tired, grimy, and one failed health inspection away from being condemned. On the bright side, the mould in the shower had formed such detailed patterns it almost felt artistic. Would I stay again? Only if society collapsed and this was the last building left standing.
The view from the breakfast room
Rooms were really filthy. Breakfast was only continental. Did not dare to eat the cheese and ham. Did not look fresh at all. We noticed after leaving that the hotel charged us more than the price we booked for via booking.com.
Cheap and easy to get to
Rooms are tiny (a matchbox is bigger), paid for breakfast only to be told on the morning there is no cook to cook the breakfast and its cereals or toast only
It was a lovely location with a stunning view that couldn't be beaten. The room was small and plain, functional for what we needed. There was on street parking nearby but you have to pay for this.
The breakfast was only a continental breakfast when we stayed, so we didn't bother with it as we knew it would be limited for the price. We also heard other guests complaining about how basic and limiting the breakfast was we're glad we didn't pay for it. The room was basic and maybe a bit too small if you're staying for longer periods and the wardrobe was in the wrong place in the room and was quite imposing as a result.
Over looking the sea . Clean lovely staff.
Nothing
The hall ways smelled of cigarette smoke. Stained carpets. Bathroom not clean
Clean helpful staff
No activities and no evening meal available
Staff were amazing, couldnt ask for better people!
room had torn up carpet, a dirty pillow and the bathroom doesnt have a lock
Information on booking.com website misleading about breakfasts.
Carpet in bedroom very dirty.
Great view once the fog had gone.
Really good spot near the Castle
Breakfast choice was very good.
Fantasic walks straight from the Hotel door.
With having two dogs, we were put in end room of the 1st floor, which was fine for our stay, but just outside was some sort of electric motor going on 24 hours, still managed to sleep not too bad.
Parking is a bit hit and miss, it's limited on car spaces and we parked on the road nearby.
