Lovely hotel. Great location. Friendly staff.
No air-conditioning. Rooms incredibly hot and uncomfortable on warm days.
this is a lovely hotel, staff were friendly , our room was nice , beds were comfortable , couldn;t fault it
Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice
we even had a fan in our room
we ran out of shower gel , and the coffee was a bit strong at breakfast
Great location. Very welcoming and all the staff were lovely and friendly. Clean room.
Nothing
Location. Comfortable bed, Fluffy white towels
Room wasn't that clean, scruffy curtains, ceiling all peeling in bathroom, dirty carpets, shower hose not long enough so couldn't get under shower. Dusty surfaces, kettle dirty
Good location, stunning views.
Shower was terrible, no pressure. Bedding was stained. No vegetarian options for breakfast. Would've expected more for the price.
Also stopped on 21st see review there
Scott on reception was very helpful.
The hill back up from the open air theatre. But that's not the hotels fault
Location , and very good previous visits
On arrival no electricity to the socketz in the room,as it was a Saturday we had to stay in our room waiting on an electrician to attend, he came and left at 5-30 pm and could not fix it , he strung an extension lead with 4 sockets on so we xould have power. Next it was time to get ready for a night out,got in the shower fine but the shower would not turn off,i messed arpund for 2 hours -45 minutes asking for assista ce to be told it is aSaturday night a d no one is available untill monday I eventually got it turned off by force and informed the desk, with just thankyou. We then could go out for our night out now 9-30pm ,outside onthe seats there were hotel residents sitting on seats that had been there all day drinking cans of beer and smoking canabis to be told they had been put up there as they were homeless a d they did not have keys to there rooms so had to stay outside untill late eve ving to be let in, this used to be a reallt good hotel but has dropped in standards a d not worth the money we paid and all the time trouble and effort we put in to help the situation , looks like they may have lost a frequent customer here .
Staff were friendly and helpful. Great view,we only stayed one night but would return and would recommend
The view was lovely
Filthy stopped on 19-20 and 21-22
When we arrived on 19th was told no twin so gave us a double booked 10mths ago we had to go and check that it was a double before the member of staff was u can have a single for free!! (Why was we not in a twin? Why did I need to go and check when they knew it was a double!!) when I moved the chair in the double it was thick dust behind it! When we came back we had a twin but the bathroom had dirty towels hung on the back of the bathroom door and talc all over the bathroom floor
When I was leaving and handed in my key I was asked to hang on as my balance was not paid and did I have proof the lobby was full of people!! I had paid and told him this and to take it up with booking.com who I booked with, and could not find the email as felt flustered! So he shouted it’s ok I have ur address!! How dare he treat me like that I was embarrassed and felt like I was being treated like a criminal!! Such as shame it’s in a lovely location but needs to be cleaned and updated! And needs air-con the guy who checked us in was helpful
On check in the guy was really helpfull, funny and knowledgeable about what was happening in town.
Top marks for realising my mates had checked in and were already in their room. He phoned and checked then gave me their room number.
Could only open the smallest of small windows to get some fresh air. Great view from the room but couldn't "taste" the sea air/breeze because the big window wouldn't budge.
Brilliant sea views
Lovely views of the sea from our room.
Andrew was extremely helpful from beginning to end of our stay. We will definitely return soon.
All positive
I had a amazing room with a balcony that had stunning views out to sea
Nothing to complain about
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean
It was on top of a hill.
