The Norbreck Hotel by Compass Hospitality

Everything. It was an absolute disgrace, the 1st room we was given 206 had not been cleaned dog biscuits on the floor the carpet had never been cleaned it was filthy. We was then moved to room 101. Where do I start! The bathroom was the worst thing I’d seen behind the door was thick in dirt the shower was full of mould, the pipe running from the shower head was full of black mould, the plug had scum round it like it had been there for months and full of hair. We couldn’t even shower here we had to go and use family members shower which was in another hotel. Behind the wardrobe which was totally accessible to mop/clean was full of dirt and dust. The table in front of the window was thick in dust. The windows had cobwebs all over them. We complained and was told the staff member couldn’t help and a manager will be intouch! I’ll wait to hear back from them.. I can’t believe this hotel is still open. Videos are being sent to management when they respond

Just minor grumble room 212 single mattress although comfy you could feel springs starting to feel a little prominent maybe mattress needs turning. As I say just a minor grumble ( actually I worked at Silentnight bed manufacturers on shopfoor and foreman in mattress department)

On both our visits, the rooms, particularly the bathrooms were not clean.
The hotel needs some TLC. Decorating but done nicely, not just a coat of paint wouldn't go a miss.
The staff did a great job, but the poor receptionists have to double up and look after the bar.
The price was steep for the quality of the rooms.

It is old needs some repairs will not. be returning the room was not clean the bathroom. was very dirty the rubber shower mat was black mould on the back of it and needed slinging out pitty the next person to stay in that room

The place is somewhat rundown.
The carpet in our room very stained. The desk chairs base was falling through, and the toilet had clearly not been cleaned under the seat or the bowl itself.

Room outdated & grubby. The bathroom was not very clean. Had to ask for toilet roll as hardly any there ( reception were very helpful with this & getting some teabags for a drink as well).

The Norbreck basically stole money from me from a cancelled booking that I had to cancel because of my working hours with no refund policy I find it very difficult to believe that they lost any money from the booking so it's nothing but theft. At that time I was very annoyed with the Norbreck hotel but it's an ideal location for a stay at Scarborough. There's niggly things wrong with the rooms as some friends of ours stayed at the hotel as well, our room looked very well lived in the paint work around the room was not brilliant but acceptable, We didn't use the shower as it looked dirty Not cleaned at all as if it was used by the revue's guests and left to dry, the inside of the window had dirty head marks so that definitely hadn't been cleaned The cost was £80.19 but with the loss from the lost booking it was a total cost of £186.33, That's a lot of money for a 1 night stay, It sort of put a strain on our overnight stay as it was our Ruby wedding anniversary gift to ourselves for 40 years of marriage the £106.14 could of been spent on a lovely meal but no The Norbreck stole it.
