Characterful and comfortable for a very reasonable cost in a truly delightful village.
Pros:

My second visit to The Highland Hotel was even better than my visit the previous year and I enjoyed that one thoroughly too. A most characterful hotel with a varied and interesting history located near to the shops and the other amenities of glorious Strathpeffer. I will most certainly be returning again soon to this fabulous and extremely good value hotel in pretty Strathpeffer and can hardly wait to do so!

Pros:

Bel hôtel à l'ancienne. Notre chambre était rénovée, propre, située vers le bout du couloir et en hauteur, donc au calme. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant.

Cons:

L'ascenseur fait vraiment peur, à éviter. L'insonorisation des portes palières.

Cons:

Staff were unhelpful, one in particular was incredibly dismissive.
Stayed for 4 nights , room was not cleaned in this time & towels were not changed throughout the stay.

An established and trusted hotel in a beautiful location.
Pros:

The staff were friendly without being too intrusive. The hotel room was quiet. I want to particularly note thanks for the provision of a Gideon's Bible in the room.

Cons:

The windows in the room didn't open. Some fresh air would be nice, even via a safety designed limited opening of the windows.

Scotland is Beautiful we travelled a lot

The hotel was awful under staffed was not properly clean very noisy on one occasion another guest was given a key to our room and she walked in on us I put this down to untrained staff we stayed a week and asked for our room to be serviced on several occasions but they changed the bed on our last day.We had to go and ask for clean towels.we also contacted booking.com about the service we weren't receiving they said they would contact us within 24 hrs no contact was received.my final words on this hotel is don't stay at the Highland hotel because you will be disappointed as for booking.com. very poor customer service

Was ok, some really good points other not so good.. so over all very average. Too pricey for what was on offer
