Pros:

Staying at this hidden gem in Sigiriya was one of the highlights of my trip. From the moment I arrived, Anne and her husband made me feel completely at home with their warm hospitality and kind nature. They genuinely care about every guest and go out of their way to ensure a memorable stay. One of the unique experiences they offer is a home-style Sri Lankan cooking class for a small fee—absolutely delicious and full of rich, local flavors.

The peaceful atmosphere of the property is unmatched—it truly feels like a piece of heaven. There’s a serene, undiscovered lake nearby where you can sometimes spot peacocks, butterflies, and beautiful birds, making it a perfect retreat for nature lovers. The hotel’s location is also ideal: just a short drive from the incredible Sigiriya Rock Fortress (a must-visit!), and close to restaurants and other tourist attractions.

It’s the kind of place that allows you to slow down, reconnect with yourself or loved ones, and just breathe. I give the location a solid 10/10 for its balance of convenience and tranquility. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sigiriya. Trust me—book it, and you’ll thank me later!

I had a wonderful stay at Lake Front Cottage and Restaurant . From the moment I checked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure all my needs were met. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could ask for, including a comfortable bed and high-quality toiletries. The hotel’s location was also perfect with the lake. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely be back!
