Tolle, ruhige Lage – mit einem Zimmer im Hauptgebäude ab dem 1. Stock macht man nichts falsch.
Pros:

Wer McLeod kennt, weiss, wie wichtig die Lage dort ist. Das Hotel befindet sich fast am Ende der Strasse, wodurch es angenehm ruhig ist. Man hat eine schöne Aussicht und hört weder ständiges Gehupe noch störendes Hundegebell, was an vielen anderen Orten leider oft der Fall ist.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, besonders die Damen vom Reinigungsteam.

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Bei hoher Auslastung gibt es ein Buffet, ansonsten wird à la carte serviert. Beim Buffet hat man deutlich mehr Auswahl und kann verschiedene Dinge probieren, während man bei à la carte jeweils nur ein Gericht auswählen kann.

Das Zimmer (205, Hauptgebäude 1. Stock) war geräumig, hell und gut aufgeteilt.

Nächstes Mal würde ich versuchen ein Zimmer im 2. oder sogar 3. Stock zu bekommen.

Cons:

Im Zimmer 205 wären einige Haken an der Wand oder an der Tür sinnvoll gewesen, damit man Jacken oder Chubas aufhängen kann. Im Schrank konnte man zwar Hemden und ähnliche Kleidung aufhängen, jedoch nichts Längeres.

Ich hatte meine ursprüngliche Reservation verlängert, jedoch war 'mein' Zimmer im Hauptgebäude danach leider nicht mehr verfügbar. Stattdessen erhielt ich das Zimmer C3 (Erdgeschoss, separates Gebäude), das etwas älter und kleiner war, aber grundsätzlich in Ordnung.

Das Hauptproblem war jedoch die Balkontür mit Fenster, bei der kein verdunkelnder Vorhang vorhanden war. Dadurch war das Zimmer bereits um 5:15 Uhr morgens sehr hell. Zudem war das Zimmer sehr staubig, vermutlich weil sich direkt daneben und darunter Baustellen befanden. Ich konnte dadurch kaum richtig atmen und hatte bereits am nächsten Tag ein Kratzen im Hals.

Am störendsten war jedoch der Hund auf der Dachterrasse des Nachbargebäudes, der während der Nacht immer wieder gebellt hat. An erholsamen Schlaf war dadurch leider kaum zu denken. Da kein anderes Zimmer verfügbar war, habe ich mir schliesslich ein anderes Hotel gesucht.

On the whole, given location and other positive aspects of the property, our stay was pleasant.
Pros:

Breakfast choice was limited. The menu was repetitive. Addition of some Tibetan dishes would have enhanced the quality of local flavour and variety.

Cons:

Parking space (even for dropping off and picking up) was very limited.

Cons:

Noisy neighbourhood from surrounding bars and restaurants that were playing loud music until the early hours. Yet this is not the hotels fault, and an issue from the touristic area.

La estancia ha sido muy confortable y el personal absolutamente encantador. Las habitaciones muy bonitas y con una vistas inmejorables hacia el valle. La ubicación muy conveniente del templo principal y del telesférico para Dharamsala. Tienen una sala de meditación.

Amazing staff. Excellent location. Well maintained facility.

Cons:

No one communicated that they will have dharamsala international film festival running 2 all nighter parties. It disrupted my sleep for both nights. I am dealing with lot of health issues right now and I need this sleep.
