Notre expérience a été mitigée. Avant notre arrivée, l’hôtel nous avait informés que la cuisine était en rénovation et nous avait proposé soit de prendre le petit-déjeuner dans un autre établissement, soit d’être remboursées. Nous avions choisi le remboursement. Par ailleurs, j’avais demandé la possibilité de venir plus tôt ou de déposer nos bagages. On m’avait indiqué que cela serait possible si la chambre était disponible, ou qu’il serait au moins possible de déposer nos bagages.
À notre arrivée, la chambre était effectivement prête, mais le personnel nous a finalement annoncé qu’un seul petit-déjeuner sur les deux serait remboursé, en expliquant que le check-in anticipé nous était offert en compensation. Cette façon de procéder nous a semblé surprenante, d’autant plus que l’early check-in était censé dépendre uniquement de la disponibilité de la chambre.
Concernant la chambre, le lavabo et le miroir sont installés directement dans l’espace de vie, et l’éclairage est insuffisant pour un usage confortable. La seule fenêtre donnait sur un mur, ce qui rendait la pièce assez sombre. L’insonorisation est également très mauvaise. Nous entendions facilement les autres clients, notamment lorsqu’ils rentraient tard dans la nuit.
Au vu des prestations proposées, le tarif nous a semblé excessif, même en bénéficiant d’une réduction. Au prix plein, le rapport qualité-prix aurait été encore plus difficile à justifier.

The property is located very conveniently in the Old Quarter. Our room, and the property in general, was very clean. We also liked the courtesy extended to us by the staff and we really appreciated their attention to the details.
The rooms were efficient and this is not a complaint. It’s just that one should be aware of this. I would still stay again with Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel Valley or any of their sister properties.
Everything about this place was absolutely top notch. They even had fresh flowers in my room, which I haven't seen in years! Location was amazing as well, close to everything yet distant enough from the chaotic noise.
The staff is amazing and they definitely know what exceptional customer service standard is. Even on my last day they allowed me to hold baggage and use facilities if needed. Everyone here has been great, I will recommend this place to all my friends that come to Hanoi and I would definitely without a doubt come back myself.

Everything about the hotel was amazing. From the pricing, deals, cleanliness, and even their compensations for restaurant renovations are exceptional. Yet, the selling standpoint of the hotel for me is the service given by the management. My family kept on entangling ourselves with different complex and challenging situations, but the staff led by Mr. Dave were remarkably hardworking, professional and patient in helping us solve our problems. They had given us the best service any customer can ask for, I can’t say anything else than being in awe of the hotel’s customer service top quality.
This is coming from someone who had traveled for more than 25 years in the industry. This review is completely honest, I would definitely return to stay here and also recommend the hotel to my family.
To be completely critical, the hotel was quite unnoticeable the first time we tried to find it as we needed to locate the signage of the hotel name first in front of an alley. It was also a shame that we didn’t get to try the food provided by the hotel’s restaurant. Even then, they provided us with a substitute restaurant that was of top notch quality as well.

The staff went above and beyond to help us throughout our whole stay. They set up our room beautifully and Dave at the front desk especially helped us plan activities to do around Vietnam. Located in the centre of Old Town we were able to access a lot of places easily via walking.

Great location and very friendly staff. The room was nice, I would have appreciated a 2nd towel for my hair . The small downside was that breakfast was served at another hotel nearby because of renovations, but it was only a five-minute walk (or they could take you by motorcycle ), so it wasn’t a big deal.

A little hard to find at first since it's down a short alley, but the alley walls have beautiful murals painted on them, and it turns out that being set back from the street makes for quieter rooms.
