The property can only be accessed by a 4WD car. If required, a round-trip transfer from the bottom Parking area of the Wakan Mountain can be arranged at an additional charge of RO 22 per car, accommodating up to four guests.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Absolutely worth the trip to get there.
Pros:

Very authentic location, stunning views.
Staff were very very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
The spectacular drive up to the village at 2000 m does require a 4x4 with low-gear, and is not for the faint-hearted.
Nice walk up the mountain. Interesting irrigation.

Cons:

They will need to address the iron in the water at some point...

Puristischer Aufenthalt in Wakan
Pros:

Einfache Nächtigungsmöglichkeit in Wakan, puristische Zimmer und Einrichtung in alten Dorfhäusern. Schöne Frühstücksterrasse mit Blick über das Tal. Nette Wanderung durch das Dorf entlang der Bewässerungskanäle.

Cons:

Nachts war es im Zimmer sehr kalt, Heizung mit Klima-Splitgerät funktionierte nicht. Im Winter wäre gut, wenn eine Heizung mit Heizstrahlern zur Verfügung gestellt wird.

Pour des amateurs de randonnée et de montagne
Pros:

L'endroit est niché au milieu des montagnes - mieux vaut aimer la rando pour profiter de ce lieu. Nous avons aimé le calme, le lever du soleil sur les montagnes, le buffet pour le repas du soir - et la gentillesse du staff. On recommande!

Cons:

Ce serait chouette d'avoir un lieu intérieure pour prendre le repas quand il fait très froid.

The perfect get-away in the mountains
Pros:

Wakan est au milieu des montagnes, un oasis de tranquillité. Le lever du soleil sur les montagnes est magique. Le repas du soir est basique (poulet, boeuf, riz, légumes) mais gouteux. Nous avons bien aimé la chambre rustique mais confortable. Il faut aimer la randonnée quand on vient ici, car il n'y a que cela à faire - mais quand on aime la montagne, c'est vraiment top.

Cons:

Nous étions un peu déçus par le ciel étoilé - c'était bien, mais pas si exceptionnel (pourtant c'était nouvelle lune). Évidemment, l'établissement n'y était pour rien.

Zeer basic maar mét uitzicht.
Pros:

De locatie is adembenemend. Vanuit je kamer maak je een prachtige hike de bergen in. Het eten was helemaal prima en het personeel vriendelijk.

Cons:

De kamer was erg basic en steenkoud. Bruin water uit de kraan.
Het eten doe je buiten: mét een prachtig uitzicht, doch 's avonds behoorlijk fris.

Absolute Empfehlung für eine Oman Reise.
Pros:

Super Personal mit wunderbarer Begrüßung, tolle saubere Unterkunft, sehr gutes indisches Essen.
Waren in Nebensaison die einzigen Gäste im Haus und wurden hervorragend betreut.

Cons:

Für uns war alles sehr schön gewesen.

C'è del potenziale ma...

Il panorama molto bello sulla vallata, buona cena e colazione. Staff molto gentile e attento.

Cons:

Purtroppo la nostra camera era distaccata dalla struttura centrale, e in una strada molto malandata, senza vista sull'esterno. La stufa a disposizione era troppo piccola per scaldare, la camera risultava molto fredda. C'era un problema all' impianto idrico e l' acqua in bagno usciva gialla. Non c'è uno spazio per cenare all' interno e abbiamo dovuto cenare al freddo con 9 gradi. C'è ancora del lavoro da fare

DA ANDARE PER UA NOTTE
Pros:

Posizione ottima per visitare il paese e fra escursione sul pendio della montagna oltra la fine del villaggio. Considerando dove è posizionato l'hotel, i servizi e la pulizia basici offerti sono il massimo che ci si può aspettare. Personale molto disponibile ed amichevole come in tutti gli alloggi utilizzati in Oman

Cons:

la colazione e la cena sono all'aperto, opzione che ci piace moltissimo, ma a dicembre con 10°C e molta umidità faceva veramente freddo, pur con gli scaldini accesi.
