If u like no frill Motel like stays then go for it. All is basic.
Pros:

I liked the location, 2 blocks from beach 1 block away from shopping and restaurants all over. Friendly staff. Beds were comfortable and clean.

Cons:

No fridge in room, shower curtain had black mold on it room 409. AC didn’t work only a fan or open window. Construction on the building across started at like 5am loud drilling etc. street cleaners also came early it was noisy. Water pressure was low, took a hot shower which turned cold at some point and then warm. Valet was slow. Had to wait 10 min-15 min to get my car. Very old building. No ice machine or amenities

Great stay in a great location
Pros:

Room was a good size and very clean. In a great location close to the Santa Monica Pier, Promenade and Santa Monica Place.

Pros:

Location! 2 blocks to the beach and 1 block to the pedestrian mall. Tons of food and drink options with discounts from the hotel.

Cons:

I loved this hotel and will definitely stay here again!
Pros:

The location could not have been better! It was a short walk to the pier, to the mall, and to the Promenade. It was safe at night, too. The room was so comfortable and CLEAN.

Cons:

The deadbolt did not work, but we still felt safe. The tv also did not work, and even though they tried to fix it, they couldn't get it. They offered us a small credit to compensate for the inconvenience, which I though was generous.

Tradeoff worth considering: a superb location versus a smaller hotel experience
Pros:

You choose this hotel for its unbeatable proximity to everything. While the hotel may not be the newest and its facilities are decent rather than exceptional, they are satisfactory enough to enhance your experience. The superb location truly makes this property a worthwhile choice.

You pay more here than at some better hotels, but those alternatives aren’t as conveniently located. It’s a tradeoff that everyone must consider. For me, staying at a hotel that’s adequately comfortable and allows you to walk to everything is unmatched. The hotel is situated right on the boulevard, surrounded by numerous stores and restaurants, with a shopping center directly across the street. Plus, it's just a 5-minute walk to the beach or the train station.

Cons:

I would have loved better amenities, but the convenience of walking to countless great cafés, restaurants, and entertainment venues is hard to beat. Everything is just 1 to 5 minutes away. The room and beds are comfortable, so the only downside is the lack of amenities relative to the price. However, you can’t overlook the fact that you get one of the best locations in Santa Monica.
