We've stayed at Playa Bonita many times in the last 40 years always good.

Cons:

Our booking included breakfast and while the meal was good the choices were limited to the "American" breakfast with bacon or ham.
We would have liked to have Huevos Rancheros.
Other than that our stay was perfect.

If there was construction going on, we should’ve been informed. Booking.com and Bonita had false advertising, indicating

The property itself was fine however there was major construction going on. We went there for a quiet weekend together, and there was nothing but dust and saws, cutting and industrial noise constantly from early morning to the evening.

Cons:

They let us to believe that we were going to have a beautiful relaxing weekend away together with heated pool and hot tubs by the ocean. We needed some quiet time and relaxation. When we arrived, there was major construction. One of the pools was drained. Size were screeching from early morning to late at night .
Dust filled the air and we could not even open our patio door. We could not sit out on the balcony we could not swim because the dust and the hot tub was covered . When I approached Management, they promised that the construction would be finished. We spent the next three days suffering with screeching and dust. They were willing to work with us, but Booking.com was not. Booking.com would not refund our money or consider the loss of our weekend.
