The most unacceptable stay in our otherwise beloved place, Hiriketiya.

This was our first unpleasant experience on the island for the following reasons.
We booked a stay at the accommodation for one night at the price of €80 per night. Seeing that it was right in front of the beach, we thought it would be perfect.

We entered the room and it was completely unacceptable compared to the photos: a dirty fan, a bad bathroom, but we said okay, we just wanted to sleep for one night. Shortly after, it started raining heavily.

The electricity went out twice. They came and fixed it.

Half an hour later, water started dripping from the ceiling onto the bed and into our luggage, and water was also coming from the bathroom ceiling. I called the person in charge and he came to see it. What did he do? He sat down for a “little weed cigarette” with another random guy who was sitting on the chairs in our room, chatting for a while. Then he casually came inside and said, “Yes, we’ll look into it.”

Look into what? I said I want my money back, simply.
Then the manager came and said he would give us a 50% discount and move us to another villa. I told him that at 11 p.m., after all this, we shouldn’t have to pay anything at all — if anything, you should be compensating us. Anyway, we said we would leave once the rain stopped.

It rained for more than two hours and we eventually fell asleep from exhaustion.

In the morning we woke up to leave. When I went downstairs, an employee wearing a cap was shouting and swearing at the rest of the staff. After some discussion I spoke on the phone with the manager from the previous night, who told me:
“I didn’t sleep because of you, and my boss told me I have to pay for the room myself, so get out of the room now.”

In conclusion, I won’t even begin to describe how angry I was.
The worst experience! Stay away!

I ended up checking out after two days because I got bored. That said, the staff were wonderful and took care of me like family. Hopefully, by next year, the place will have more facilities and offer a bit more privacy.

Banyoda el sabunu yok ve İstedim vermediler. Odada kahve yok istedm, getirecegiz dediler ve getirmediler. Itel huviyeti kesinlikle yok. Restorana ait personelin kaldigi lojman gibi. Gece yarisina dek muzik sesi sabah ise maymun saldirisi. Tum gece gurultu var. Uyumak adeta imkansiz

Unfreundliches Personal, Haare im Bett, nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage, Duschwaser kalt, völlig überteuert, sehr kleine Zimmer, Ameisen im Badezimmer, die Bar im Erdgeschoss schliesst gegen 0 Uhr bis alles aufgeräumt ist wird um 1 Uhr das Licht ausgemacht. Morgens ab 6:30 Uhr kommt die Warenanlieferung und die schweren Tische werden für das Frühstück zurechtgeschoben.

Es war semi sauber, das Badezimmer war voller Insekten und das Zimmer ist viel kleiner als es auf Bilder ausschaut.

The property wasn’t super clean and the staff also didn’t clean the room at all for our entire 4 night stay. Being right at the beach the room got sandy and nobody cleaned it even once. The bathroom layout is a bit strange because there’s nowhere to store anything. A shelf in the shower and near the basin would be great additions.
