Restaurant staff was very kind and thoughtful.
Rooms were extremely hot and fan provided was very weak. Family rooms were only accessible by stairs, which doesn’t help if you have a pushchair.
In order to get your room cleaned or get fresh towels, you need to book (?) the night before and if you forget, then this is your problem.
Room was excellent . Although I have stayed here before and the room previously was bad. seems to be the luck of the draw. location is very good . walking distance to centre
breakfast is poor. very disorganised . Much of the food is not there. Just your luck on the timing. if you wanted a continental breakfast probably not going to get it. Hot Food again pot luck. Sometimes there , sometimes not. Staff very disinterested .
The view, eveing meal lovely and staff lovely
All the exture cost, parking, breakfast and towels
Thought compared to the Haven in pool.
The carlton was very expensive.
We paid the same price at the Haven and parking ,towels and breakfast included.
Also the Haven was amazing and our room was beautiful.
The carlton seemed said and run down.
If we had known about the pool closed and hot tub removed we would no have stayed. We was very disappointed.
Good size room and good water pressure, unlike other hotels in the area. Hot water was really hot.
Location is excellent, staff super helpful
Price of food. Had to eat out as could not justify spending the amounts on food.
Would have loved to have had breakfast, but £14 (x 4 people) is too much, The Big Arch is 10 minuets walk
3 mins by car to get a decent enough breakfast for less than half of the asking price.
Did not have any
Parking with a disabled badge was very difficult and they would not let us park out the front of which we had done many many times very sad and totally unacceptable
It's a pleasure to visit this hotel, very nice people and great customer service, definitely recommending
The pool is fantastic and they also have good food
It's more than 4* and the pets are also allowed
Great job guys!
We don't have any complaints about the hotel
Large clean room
The parking was extremely frustrating as would not take any card on the machine or app other guests were having the same problem. This making me very stressed for 45 mins losing precious holiday time.
No one on reception waited for 20mins.
Hairdryer not working in bedroom walked down to reception to get it replaced as was getting ready for show a replacement was in room when we got back. Up the next morn went to dry hair and that didnt work either. I did leave a note on hairdryer when we departed the room.
Shower curtain broken and came off the rail as plastic loops broken.
One fluorescent tube not working on wall mirror.
No sanitry bags in bathroom or drinking glasses.
Aswell as all else the room telephone wasnt working no dial tone it was just dead.
Seeing we was only staying one night it was a really stressful time.
Generous Room size. Linen and towels were clean
No outdoor swimming pool. We had 2 children so excited about using the pool. The garden was very untidy. No bar at the poolside. Staff were non existent most of the time. The room was extremely hot. Not enough mugs no glasses no water no other teabags. No customer service. Poor property maintenance. We don’t think it exists. Overall very disappointed with our stay. We won’t be recommending it.
Close to the beach
This hotel is nothing like on the pictures. It’s a bit mucky, pool is dirty, outdoor pool totally. Some places stagnant green water and so run down. Such a shame.
For the price they charge, not what is advertised and what we expected. This place urgently needs some proper makeover and cleaning. We booked it as a 4* hotel and we were very disappointed to find out that it is actually a 3* hotel. How is that possible I am not sure. Won’t be staying again.
This hotel disappointed. Everything is old, neglected, dirty. They probably never vacuum or wash anything. The curtains are terrible, the window sills are full of dust. The outdoor pool is no longer working because it has not been cleaned and everything is dirty, so we didn't even go to the indoor pool because we already understood that the hygiene is 0. The location is also far from the center, about 20 minutes walk. For those who have difficulty walking, the descent and ascent to the beach are very steep. I would never choose this hotel. Especially since you have to pay extra for both the pet and parking.
The room was spacious
The room was dirty and we had to ask for it to be cleaned again. It’s very old, outdated and the whole hotel is in desperate need of renovation.
location
pool was not properly maintained and was out of action - and the shower in the room had no hot water
The location was great 👍 close to the sea front and the centre of Bournemouth. Breakfast was good lots of choice.
The staff were polite and helpful.
The outside pool was closed 😔 the indoor pool was open but very warm due to being enclosed in a conservatory particularly as the weather has been good.
Also the rooms were very tired in need of an upgrade I would say and not cleaned to a high standard.
Location was good
The primary reason why we booked this hotel was the outdoor pool. It was closed and we had not been notified until we arrived. Had we known, we would not have chosen this hotel and feel as we have been misrepresented
The rooms were quite dirty and dusty, Room service wasn’t great, either the process of it or how the rooms weee cleaned.
Dated decor, broken sockets, hanging wires. Quite dangerous for a family room which will be occupied with kids. Two fans left on the room and they were immensely dirty.
Any complaints were met with a pass the buck attitude.
