Location, sea view, room size, room layout, breakfast quality
At the beginning a mistake happened, the crew offered me a much smaller room than booked - but after a few minutes it has been rescheduled to the appropriate room type and size, really prompt and helpful
No glasses in room. only one set of towels. No hairdryer. Lifts need a coat of paint. Car parking expensive
A nice spa, pool and bar. With lovely gardens
Very dated. They need to update the rooms as with standing a four star hotel.
We didn't have breakfast as it was nearly £15 per head, there is a Havester nearby that did breakfast far cheaper, there are also cafe next to the beach within walking distance, the staff were lovely, central location, good sea views from the second room given , heating could be adjusted to own requirements. The king size bed was comfortable
The first room given hadn't been cleaned before arrival, the toilet hadn't been flushed or cleaned , nor had the room been dusted, there were the remains of sweet wrappers on the sofa, we had requested a sea view but on the first room that could only be seen from a small side window, Parking was charged at £20 per night! So we parked on the road outside, it is free from 5 pm to 9 am each day, on the morning we paid £2:45 for the time before we checked out at 11am, this parking charge at the hotel was not clearly stated on booking.com, the hotel could do with updating its furniture in the bedrooms. The bathroom door could not be closed without locking it from the inside.
Staff tried hard and were generally helpful and friendly. The room was spacious (although we did book a suite) and the beds were comfortable.
The facilities are tired. The aircon didn't work, the shower only trickled and there were not enough electricity sockets for 21st century usage. The indoor pool is tiny, opening hours are only 9-5 and when I wanted to use it, there were classes taking place.
The room was big, the location is convenient.
The bathroom was a bit old
Great sea view with balcony. Large room and bathroom. Parking good. The girl working in health club friendly and very helpful.
Check in not untill 4pm which is quite late and although we arrived about 1pm was told even if room was ready we could not get in untill yhen. Did not like that every part of hotel was separate. Could not put drinks, breakfast, towels (there was a charge in the health club etc on bill as they were all run by different franchisees. Went into bar Saturday night to be informed they were not serving food anywhere in the hotel. Cleaning in restaurant not brilliant chips and other food on the floor at breakfast. Rooms could certainly do with a little TLC.
Nice hotel, in a great location. Staff are all super friendly.
We were next door to someone who left their dogs in the room whilst they were out. The dogs barked & cried continuously. We had to go to reception at 3am to report this as we could not sleep with the noise. We had also listened to this on our first night but put up with it but on the 2nd night we were concerned.
Nice big room
Swimming pool and sauna
Good breakfast
Random short bursts if fire alarm - once at 2am
Maybe parking should be part of the price of a room
Fabulous position overlooking the cliff with fantastic views over the sea to the Isle of Wight to the east and glorious sands of Bournemouth westwards over to Sandbanks, Old Harry Rocks and further down the Dorset coast.
Furnishings a little tired.
Clean and comfortable hotel with plenty of seating areas to relax in whilst enjoying a meal and a drink.light and bright surroundings made for an enjoyable stay.
Nothing to dislike.
