Staff very helpful. I was due to arrive late but this was no problem. They were very polite and helpful.
Outer decor/paintwork needs improved, it looked a bit tatty. Also breakfast finished at 9am on a Saturday. This seems excessively early. I’d expect breakfast to be served until 10 at weekends.
Updated room. Very warm, clean and welcoming.
Bed was very comfortable
The shower over the bath. Very poor pressure and temperature poorly controlled.
Would have preferred an electric shower
2 staff nice Daniel and Yvonne
Well I complained and was ignored. The following issues
1. Smell of faeces in corridor
2. No hot water. We even called staff up , they told us to run tap but after 15 min we gave up.
3. Shower unit fell off wall
4. Noise all night kept me and my 17 year old daughter awake. Chatting/ doors slamming etc from midnight onwards. We were told it probably was night staff moving luggage…
5. Dirty cups in room
6. Tour buses started engines under our window at 6:50am
7. Too hot, unable to turn down heating, thermostat broken. Temp approx 28 degrees all night.
8. We complained and staff told us to contact booking . Com. Then told they unwilling to look at our concerns.
9. Daughter had important day and was upset as she was tired as had no sleep and could not shower or wash hair as water cold.
NOTHING
EVERYTHING
Beetje oudbollig. Kamers zijn netjes. Gebouw en gangen wat achterstallig onderhoud. Mooie locatie.
Wide choice of food for breakfast.
Dinner selection extremely disappointing. Vegetables grossly overcooked. Roast sliced extremely thin and dried out, and Yorkshire puddings disgusting.
As above. Would not recommend eating a meal here. Also main meal appearing before starter finished, too ready to get you in and out. Not a relaxing experience.
We drove up from Warrington we were greeted at reception with a smile very polite and friendly offered us the menu for evening meal the value and food was exceptional
Nothing really
Quiet
Needs updating and painting.
Lots of wallpaper peeling . Smell musty
The breakfast was reasonably good although the sausages were a bit mealy.
Visiting Selkirk so ideal location for that.
The room was on the ground floor and in the evening the tour buses parked outside our window so could not see anything. For privacy had to keep the curtains drawn.
The shower over the bath was very good but sprayed water everywhere, so floor was very slippy. I did ask for a walk in shower, when I booked on line, but obviously the hotel could not accommodate this.
