From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.

Please be advised, starting on 17th May 2024 until 31st July 2024, the next phase of maintenance and renovation works will be carried out in certain rooms on level 1 of Telang Usan Hotel. These renovations and maintenance works are necessary and will allow our valued guests a much more enjoyable stay at Telang Usan Hotel in future. During the renovation period, work will commence from 08:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs. As a result, there will be some construction noise during this period. However, we will do our best to keep the noise to a minimum. We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause and your understanding is much appreciated.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
A deposit may be required at the property.

The food was amazing. I tried the local flavours, and was rewarded with great tasting meals.
I had dinner with my relatives who stay in Kuching. They are in their 70s & 80s, plus a younger person, whom I thought would be a little less adventurous with food. They have not been to this restaurant before.
However, they all enjoyed the food as much as I did.
Service at the restaurant was speedy & cordial, waiters were attentive to every request.
Thank you for a most pleasant dining experience with my relatives.
1. The hotel location was not as central as I would hv preferred.
2. The layout of the room and location of electricity source are rather odd, in the sense that the little pantry is at an iside corner of the room, whereas the place for hanging clothes is in the centre front half of the room.
I think these 2 should inter-change their locations.
3. I enjoyed the local touches & displays of local art and traditions at the Reception area.
4. The tourist information brochures are very helpful.

Water heater too slow 😞,not heating very bad
The staff are super good. Excellent food. Room is cosy. The rates is the best. Very affordable. For it's class, it is a good hotel.
Some furniture ( like chairs & sofa) may need refurbishing.

Overall good. I love the clean bedsheets. Most stays I had have dust all over their bedsheets. But at Telang Usan, it was clean. I would give it a 10.
Very quiet and peaceful location as it is a distance from the main road. Friendly staff. Clean room. Reasonably priced.
