Mother Daughter ABBA trip -

Gorgeous breakfast.
I
I booked for 5 people and they gave me 2 beds and there was no sofa bed. I asked for an extra bed and they told me it would be $75 extra
Bardzo ładny widok na miasto
The staff treated my friends and I with utmost respect. We were booked on the 12 floor which had a gorgeous view. The apartment was clean, tidy and spacious (for London standards).
We’d definitely return should we have a need in London again!
Not a single thing. Everything met our expectations.
We stayed at the end of august with my family, for a weekend break. The ladies on the front desk were absolutely amazing and so professional in meeting our requirements. The rooms we had were very clean and well positioned overlooking the surrounding area. We all had breakfast over the weekend and every day you had a good choice of food also the staff are amazing in serving you and offering drinks and dietary advice.the hotel is in a great area with good rail links into the city. We parked our car in the multi storey car park opposite the hotel at £24 per day
We enjoyed our stay, despite experiencing a disastrous day wherein the water supply to the entire property was disrupted and folks had to be moved en masse. They handled that very well, nevertheless, so one can't blame them for a black-swan event like this.
Apart from that our stay was excellent. We had a fantastic, roomy, well-appointed Apartment and found Mari at Reception warm and highly competent.
Perhaps, they need to have a Toaster in the Apartment and maybe house-keeping (even if cleaning once in 3 days) need to ensure toiletries are well-stocked.
The property is 200 m from the Elizabeth Line going straight to Heathrow and to Bond St so it is very convenient. There is a Waitrose which is a 5 minute walk in the Shopping Mall, nearby.
We would love to return. Be mindful that staying in Canary Wharf is a trade off. It is a spanking new suburb etc but it does take at least 30 minutes door to door to get to Oxford or Bond St.
We did not mind the trade-off and as frequent Marriott patrons we love the reliability and professionalism expected of the brand.
I was here as part of a large coach party My room (724) was very clean and well presented staff were friendly polite and welcoming the hotel is situated near to the city of london without being too close the hotel is close to the DLR tracks which could be a bit noisy during rush hour so make sure you are not on the track facing rooms I.E east side of the hotel my rom (724) was level and facing the tracks which had a level of noise as the points were outside my room also train passenger could look directly into my room if the net curtain were moved out of the way, Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options for different tastes the only thing was there was no carpark which for a large hotel a bit of a design flaw but it was docklands
Excellent stay, Xavier was very helpful
The hotel was very clean and the breakfast in particular was excellent.
Room was spacious and clean, polite staff and close to amenities.
Beautiful view of the wharf from our hotel room.
All in all a very pleasant experience
Very comfortable bed, spacious room, nice toiletries, excellent location for the O2 and other transport connections around Canary Wharf and central. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was tasty
There was no coffee machine, only instant coffee, in the room - I would have expected a machine for the price and type of hotel. Breakfast was a little expensive for the style and quality of food - which was tasty, but nothing different, extra delicious or special.
Pros
Apartment size was good
Nice comfy bed
Good aircon / heating
Staff friendly
Location good being near good transport links and bars and restaurants
Linen, towels of high standard
Good security
Welcome bowl of fruit and bottled water
Nice view on Canary Wharf side
Cons
Very Dated furniture
Kitchen could do with a Nespresso
Bathroom shower never could be adjusted
between freezing cold and scolding hot!
Cleaning only once every 3 days… odd as would expect towels to be changed and toilet paper replaced!
TV wasnt working (but compensated for this)
No USB plugs or European sockets.
No Bonvoy perks
No Bonvoy points for 3rd party bookings (even if booked for longer periods) - no flexibility with this
Bar staff decide to add their own tips to the bill (after being signed)
Moved my business elsewhere
Sad as an avid Marriott fan otherwise but the cons were enough to highlight penny pinching tactics ! Or shall I say penny wise pound foolish… through lost custom… !
This is a nice hotel. The location is good if you’re planning to spend lots of time in Canary Wharf. My friend and I came to tour central London, so the location was a bit annoying as it was about 30 minutes on the tube. The hotel itself is nice, definitely a business vibe. My favorite part was definitely the lounge and breakfast - really convenient and good options!
We stayed here for 1 night and the best part was definitely the view over Canary Wharf we had from our window. Lovely big windows. The size of the apartment was definitely bigger than we were expecting so that was also a positive. Breakfast was really good and staff throughout the hotel were friendly.
The biggest downside for us was how tired the apartment looked. It looked to have not been decorated in a long time, with ugly carpets/furniture. The bathroom was quite disappointing with a very cramped shower, along with a bath covered by a dingy shower curtain. The bed was huge which was great - but this was spoiled a bit by tiny pillows. 3 pillows fit the width of the bed which meant during the night you constantly found yourself falling into the gap - I don’t think pillows the right width for the bed is a big ask? We didn’t make use of the kitchen so I cannot comment on the amenities.
Overall I don’t think we would stay again, you can definitely get more for your money somewhere else like the Novotel for example.
Very good selection and staff very attentive.
Children not being supervised by parents and touching buffet items and then putting them back!
