Great views, great food, nice staff, wonderful excursions.
Cabanas could use some updating, bed wasn’t super comfortable, and it was loud (not their fault it is on top of a hill overlooking a busy valley).
Great view and good food.
Mattress was not comfortable.
Amazing view, good food and drinks. Great pool.
The noise from the valley really resonates uphill and the cabanas aren’t very sound proof. Which is fine, it would be nice if they sold ear plugs in the lobby.
The view from up on the hill was awesome. The individual huts were nice and private. The food was very good and it was enjoyable to be in the pools and the sunsets. The people were incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly.
The air conditioning in our room didn’t adjust the temperature very well. And also the shower did not drain well.
We enjoyed our stay at Cahal Pech, the room was very spacious with a really comfy bed and powerful shower. The bungalows all overlook the amazing view with little paths leading to them we saw lots of lizards and vultures. The setting was very peaceful and calm in well looked after gardens with lots of different tropical plants. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and really make your experience at Cahal Pech I can't fault them!
We had breakfast twice at the restaurant, there were alot of options all very typical American it didn't feel very healthy. We ate there in the evening aswell the food was not the best we have had in Belize and the prices were expensive. There's also a coffee shop which is very hidden and we didn't know about it until we left this should be advertised better or moved to a more central place.
The location is 20 minute walk from town up a big hill so it's not very central, there's a good reasonable restaurant a 10 minute walk away called Lola's which is worth going too. It's also worth walking into town to try other restaurants during your stay and you can get a taxi back which was €10.
The pool area was an added bonus, I'm not sure how clean the pool was as I didn't see anyone cleaning it. It could do with some more sunbeds and getting rid of the awful leather chairs, random plastic red sunbed and cheap furniture.
The overall feel of the hotel was quite dated, the concrete floor around the pool wasn't very nice and the cave area with dinosaur was gimmicky and walking through it felt dirty. I feel the photos need updating and are probably from when the hotel first opened which isn't a true reflection. With some small improvements this hotel could be amazing just with a few changes to modernize it but keep the charm!
The amenities in the room
Television: no cable
view was great!
the chair and desk were not very comfortable for working on my laptop. maybe yiu could ask incoming guests to indicate if they need a work table and padded chair in their room
The location was wonderful, staff were friendly and helpful. We used the shuttle service as well which was awesome. We had our own cabana and absolutely loved it.
Love our bungalows!

The view of town is awesome. We ate at the restaurant three times: lunch the first day, a snack and a beer the second and had breakfast the day we left and it was very good. The staff was excellent from the front desk to the waiters and bartenders.
We had a great bungalow, but it was the bottom of the hill, right above the neighbor's roosters. Hiking our bags back up the hill was pretty strenuous, but no big deal.
C’est un très bel hotel
Tres bruyant, difficile a dormir mais ce n’est pas de leur faute, c’est la ville autour
Lovely settings, super friendly and helpful staff.
The cabins are nice and a great spot to chill but ours felt really damp, mattress and sheets etc. The food in the restaurant is OK but not amazing, I would recommend checking out the restaurants in town.
Schöne Lage auf einem Hügel. Zimmer nach Osten, schöne Sonnenaufgänge. Gutes Essen. Hotel organisiert Ausflüge nach Caracol usw.
Das Essen ist eher westlich bzw. amerikanisch ausgerichtet. Haben einheimische Speisen vermisst.
Nettes Ressort, toller Bungalow, tolle Aussicht, nettes Personal
Zu Fuß relativ weit und steil in die Stadtmitte. Abendessenauswahl insbesondere für Vegetarier eingeschränkt, mehr Auswahl beim Lunch.
The resort is lovely. The staff are really super helpful and attentive. It’s a perfect “stopover” stay. The restaurant and pools are just what we needed. Despite the negatives below, do not hesitate to book this hotel; it’s one of the best in town.
There’s a few things they could do to turn this from a ‘very good’ to an ‘excellent’ stay; most of which have been mentioned in other reviews, so the hotel owners must be aware. Firstly, the WiFi; if you’re staying in the bungalows, forget it. And as there is very patchy WiFi in the bungalows, it means the TV won’t work (you’ll report it and they’ll act like it’s the first time they e heard of the problem because hey, you’ll be gone in a couple of days lol).. Secondly, tea/coffee making facilities in the room; we had our own teabags but still had to pay $5 US for two cups of hot water. Lastly, a minibar with some water. Don’t try and monetise everything and make the stay more special by these simple adds.
We stayed in a bungalow so we had our own private outdoor space. It made us feel like we were in the jungle not in the city. The breakfast buffet was really good with the omelette station. The resort also booked our excursions and the guides and drivers were so great!
The property is up on top of the hill, so if you’re on foot, there’s a bit of elevation from downtown. The resort also overlooks town, which is nice but this also means the traffic noise is quite loud in the evenings/mornings.
The space has a beautiful view that we got to enjoy every morning and evening.
We loved our cabana, but would have loved a closer cabana since it was quite hilly and steep. Everything was as expected with a three-star resort. Everything looks great from afar but when you look closely there are some things that need repair. There was quite a bit of noise coming from the city, but it was probably much quieter than actually staying in town. Everything was really clean. During the day there was quite a bit of noise from maintenance and construction which impacted our relaxing day at the resort.
