Comfortable & Convenient Stay at D’Prima Lagoi Bintan
From the outside, you might not expect much — but we were pleasantly surprised! The beds and pillows were very comfy, making it a great place to rest after a long day. Rooms 217 and 219 were clean, spacious, and well maintained. Just a small funny note: Room 217 has a pillar right in the middle of the room 😄 Not a big issue, just something quirky!
The location is also very convenient — there’s a food court and convenience store right behind the hotel. Highly recommend trying the mie goreng there, it was delicious!
Overall, we enjoyed a comfortable and fuss-free stay. Good value for the price and would consider staying here again.
Close proximity to the ferry terminal. Convinience store, spa and hawker centre just behind the hotel which is great. The room is clean and well maintained. King size bed.
Since we had 3 rooms on the second floor, and 1 room on the first floor, we realised that the rooms on the second floor are not cold enough. The temperature hovers around 24 degrees even when the temperature is set at 16°C even at night. There is no fridge. And the room is on the smaller side.
Price was reasonable. Size of the room was also ok for us 2 adults and 1 baby. Breakfast was limited. You have to choose the meal that you like (from around 5-6 food) and they will prepare it for the next day. Portion is fixed so have to eat other food at other places to fill the stomach.
Cleanliness was reasonable. Not the best but still livable. We stayed there for 1 night.
Towels only given 2 bath towels, and 1 floor cloth. No hand clothes for u to wipe your hands after washing.
Aircon was a little noisy and not the coldest even though it is set at 16 degrees. But it is still enough to cool the room.
Check in is strictly at 2pm. Cannot check in earlier (unless you top up) even though we saw many empty rooms. But you can leave your bags at the reception while you start your day elsewhere.
Location is great - 4 mins from BBT terminal.
Overall, what you pay is what you get. For the price paid, it has met my expectation.
Breakfast. Only one small portion per person.
Towels - No hand towel
Aircon - Not the coldest even though it is set at 16 degrees. A little noisy too
Check In - Strictly at 2pm even though there were empty rooms.
Generally, we got what we expected. D'Primahotel, being on an isolated island and was not located in the prime area of the Lagoi enclave, provided the services we expected. It is clean and has pretty much all the facilities you would need. The added point of this hotel is that it is located very near the market which has a foodcourt area (the pujasera). So we had a good access to good indonesian food for reasonable price. Something that I am sure we would not be able to get if we stayed in the prime area.
Additional note is that I am lucky to have been in contact with Joshua (one of the receptionists there). He provided information and assistance that I needed to support me during my stay there and also to get around Bintan, and also especially with my things for the triathlon.
What I did not like is that we were provided with a room facing to the back of the building which was facing to the back of another building with a distance of no more than 3 meters away- it was not a pretty view. The view was just facing a wall with a few windows. If we did not have our curtain down, any people from those windows could easily see what we were doing in our room. So we had to put down the curtain most of the time.
We stayed for 1 night. This is our 3rd time stay in this hotel
This time, it's quite disappointed. We booked 2 rooms.
Room 1: the faucet for hand wash broken
Room 2: room not clean. There were cockroach eggs. The toilet bowl not clean (shit still in there)
