Just perfect - we woukd happily return
Pros:

It was a welcome oasis of luxury and relaxation and the perfect place to break our long journey.

We had to delay our arrival by one day due to illness and the hotel were very accommodating in this with no additional charges.

Cons:

We loved it.

Amazing heritage site with passionate hospitality
Pros:

Really nice Cape Dutch heritage, and at the same time modern facilities

Cons:

Airco’s are missing in the rooms, although it add to the charm and nights are cooler with the fresh ocean breeze

Grand Hotel - aber nicht wenn es um Dienstleistungen geht
Pros:

Das Hotel und seine Infrastruktur verdienen den Namen Grand Hotel. Die Renovation der 100-jährigen Liegenschaft ist sehr gut gelungen und mit wertigen Materialien ausgeführt.
Die Küchen- und Frühstücksangeboten vermögen zu überzeugen.

Cons:

Die Dienstleistungen vermögen einem Grand Hotel mit 5*-Anspruch in keiner Weise zu genügen. Bei unserer Ankunft war die Rezeption durch eine Praktikantin besetzt, die absolute keine Ahnung hatte, mit welchen Informationen ein Checkin angemessen zu erledigen wäre.
Die Serviceangestellten im Restaurant sind ausgesprochen freundlich und dienstbar, haben aber leider wenig bis keine Warenkenntnisse.
Bei unserer Abreise regnete es in Strömen. Es wäre niemandem (auch nicht der anwesenden Geschäftsführerin!) in den Sinn gekommen, uns z.B. mit einem Regenschirm zum Auto zu begleiten, dass wir das Gepäck möglichst trocken verladen könnten. Das haben wir in 3*-Betrieben schon deutlicch besser erlebt.

Ein ausgezeichnetes Boutique-Hotel! Privat, Wie immer Paradies
Pros:

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft. Wir haben das Cottage mit zwei Schlafzimmern am Pool bewohnt. Exquisite und gemütliche Einrichtung, ausgezeichnete Betten, hohe Aufenthaltsqualität, Pool und exzellente Küche. Schade, dass wir nur zwei Nächte hier waren.
