The only things I liked and that closely matched the pictures online were the garden and the swimming pool.
The overall ambience of the place was quite disappointing. It's very rundown and not maintained properly. Breakfast was nothing close to 5-star quality, and the bar was poorly managed and stocked.
The employee's where very kind and helpful
We found 2 cockroaches and alot of different bugs in our room .
The pool was not very clean and my girlfriend hurt her leg when she fell through a rotten board next to the pool while she was walking.
I don't know why this is a 5 star hotel Its a 2/3 star at best
The view of the landscape and the hospitality of the staff.
Nice pool looks grand from outside.
shower didn’t work properly.
rooms were dusty.
really hard to communicate with anyone as no one spoke English.
restaurant took 1.20 to tell us they didn’t have what we ordered.
Nice place but wasn’t worth the £ they was asking you can get just as nice closer to town and for less £.
nice sunset pool
fridge not working and smell bad, not refill of breakfast buffet
The view from the pool, that's it (the pool itself is filled with bugs and the jacuzzi seats also need a scrub)
Rooms are disgusting, we stayed in the VIP A building. The shower had obviously not been scrubbed in a very long time. The floor mat outside the bathroom covered in black mold and had not been shaken out in who knows how long. King bed, one of the hardest and most uncomfortable in all of SE Asia.
We anticipated a room with a view and balcony, no views from A buildings and our 'balcony' turned out to be communal space that the other tourist treated as their own party space until 2am, leaving their garbage everywhere for us to discover in the morning.
Used the gym one day, beware the blue foam floor is rotting and your clothes and shoes will be covered in blue dust which requires scrubbing to be removed.
The chinese tourists groups are in constant rotation here. They have total disrespect for the property and other guests which seems to have reflected onto management over time.
This property has so much potential, such a same it is not properly taken care of.
The size of room is acceptable
Cleanliness is very poor, smell while sleeping as well as dust on shelves and bedding sheet. The staff doesn't seem to be helpful especially when contacting early to book train tickets. Emails being sent so many times and the last reply mail said 'acknowledge and prepare' which should mean this is handled. Unfortunately when checking in and asked for tickets, nothing booked and this made the travelling plan changed due to the train tickets being booked.
Good breakfast as part of the price they had Asia and western options. The pool was amazing with a lovely view. The rooms were massive and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet at night and we have a nice view from our balcony.
It’s about a 15 min walk to the main part of the town but they offer a free shuttle bus.
The pool was the best part; especially watching the sunset over the mountain! Breakfast was okay, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the AC worked well. The staff didn't speak much English so it was difficult to communicate with them at times. The hotel is located a good distance out of the main town area, still within walking distance, but a scooter is convenient to have.
The view looking over the pool was lovely. The room was spacious and a good value for money. The music referenced in other reviews ended by 10pm and wasn’t karaoke so it was fine. The gym was great.
The front desk wasn’t very organized. They messed up a reservation for a tour and delayed our check in because they told the previous guest that they could have a late check out.
Great view, great breakfast and not too far from the main town (15 minute walk or 5 minute shuttle)
Our room was not cleaned, and money was stolen from our locked room during our stay. Staff was apologetic but ultimately unhelpful.
Leaving this place!
If you look for a place where you are welcomed by staff that doesn't know what to do and keep you waiting for a long time, the cockroaches & dust cheer up your room, and you been kept awake till 2am in the morning because of freaking loud music from their restaurant! Then this is THE place you want to go! Enjoy!
Pool
The restaurant food, below average
The suite is nice and comfortable. The best part is the mountain view.
Bathroom supplies could be more generous.
