Traumhafte Entspannung mitten in der Natur
Pros:

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht dort aber wären gerne länger geblieben. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Aussicht war wie auf den Bildern direkt in die Natur gerichtet. Wir hatten leider wenig Sonne und etwas Regen wodurch die Sicht etwas getrübt war. Trotzdem konnten wir den Abend in dem großen Yoga-/Trainings- und Musikraum gut verbringen.
Die Anreise war übrigens auch mit einem 2WD Frontantrieb Auto zu meistern (bei viel Regen könnte das jedoch anders aussehen).
Die Gastgeberin war außerdem super nett und zuvorkommend und hat uns ein sehr leckeres Frühstück zubereitet!
Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Superbe lieu ressourçant au coeur de la forêt avec vue sublime
Pros:

Le lieu est splendide, au coeur de la forêt avec une vue magnifique depuis les chambres sur la forêt et les animaux. Maria est très accueillante et très gentille. Possibilité de faire du yoga, de tester les instruments de musique à disposition, de manger sur place (petit déjeuner et repas). Superbe lieu très agréable et propice au repos et ressourcement

Für Naturliebhaber und spirituelle Menschen top
Pros:

Mitten im Dschungel mit toller Aussicht. Ganz liebevolle, warmherzige und gastfreundliche Gastgeberin. Wir hatten das Glück, die einzigen Gäste zu sein und hatten entsprechend auch den Gemeinschaftsraum für uns. Ich habe den Sonnenaufgang aus der Hängematte bewundert. Die Yoga-Stunde am Morgen mit Blick ins Grüne war ausgiebig und sehr persönlich. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und gesund. Wir blieben nur eine Nacht als Zwischenstopp und hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt.
Die besondere, spirituelle Atmosphäre macht den Ort einzigartig.

Cons:

Wie es auf der Seite auch heißt, braucht man unbedingt einen 4WD für die letzten Kilometer zur Unterkunft . Für uns kein Problem, aber tatsächlich empfiehlt sich die Unterkunft für Leute, die die Ruhe und Natur suchen. Der Weg nach Cahuita fühlt sich durch die schlechten Straßenbedingungen sehr lang an.
Ein Teil des Equipments (Yogamatten, Sitzkissen,..) ist nicht mehr in so gutem Zustand, aber das liegt vermutlich auch an den Wetterverhältnissen und Gegebenheiten (alles ist sehr offen und man ist nun mal im Dschungel).

Ich würde die Unterkunft aber tatsächlich nicht für Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf empfehlen. Es gibt Öffnungen am Zimmer, die sich nicht schließen lassen, und der Dschungel ist sehr laut in der Nacht. Außerdem sollte einem bewusst sein, dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt und es nachts sehr heiß sein kann (mein Freund kam damit leider nicht so gut klar). ;)

We built great memories at Selva Madre.
Pros:

We had a great time staying here. The room was so beautiful, the yoga class was fantastic and we also explored the surrounding trail of the sanctuary. The host was very helpful and she gave us tips of places to go and to eat. I loved the shared area. It was a great experience. Oh we saw a sloth right there at the yoga room!

We could not have found a better place to stay near Cahuita than Selva Madre.
Pros:

The location is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures on the advertisement don't even come close to representing the beauty of the hotel. The hostess is incredibly friendly and we all loved the cat, Selva!

Cons:

Not one thing comes to mind. All three of my friends and I have 0 complaints

Mary is a beautiful kind person, a great yoga teacher and also a good chef as she cooked us an amazing dinner and breakfast in the jungle; she made our staying a unique experience.

Pros:

Beautiful setting in the jungle with lots of wildlife. Amazing views and elegantly decorated. The owner was helpful in booking taxis for us to get there and back and advising us what to visit. I wish we could fave stayed several nights. There are lovely communal areas, eating areas with views, instruments to play, yoga / exercise areas. The place is perfect for feeling close to nature.

This is a special place if you like the Costa rican jungle, be prepared to see incredible wildlife, the noise of the jungle at night is a joy to behold.
Maria, the hostess, she is a beautiful caring intelligent, multi lingual lady offering the joys of the jungle and her sanctuary to the masses, she is genuinely lovely

Cons:

This property has it all.
If your traveling from the north get a 4WD, it will save you some time and kilometres, if you don’t have 4WD you will have drive an extra 15km and go the long way round

Beautiful stay and lovely hosts 😄
Pros:

Simply stunning here. I had my birthday here and Marie and her colleagues were so kind and friendly, adding some lovely surprises to my day. The room is beautiful and from your bed you can see the mountains and morning mist rise from the valley. There are loads of spaces to sit and relax in the beautiful nature of the area. There is a well equipped Shala also with great views, the best place ever to do yoga. We also had a tour of the fruit forest which was I enjoyed and was really interesting. Marie can also arrange for you to have a yoga class and we had a lovely Tibetan singing bowl healing. A unique place to stay and I loved it

Cons:

We didn’t have a car and this could have been a problem with expensive cabs, however Marie helped us and made it easier having contacts with drivers she will make arrangements with. It’s all possible. Cab with 4x4 advised.
