Nehansa Resort and safari

The location was great and allowed us to access Yala early in the morning. The owner took us on a local tour for the evening showing us birdlife on the lagoon, crocodiles and then we watched the numerous fruit bats leave their roost for the evening.

They helped sort out Yala safari and the driver met us at the door for a brilliant time at the park spotting animals.

He also took us to our next location for a reasonable price and dropped us to our door. They were amazingly welcoming and the room was a good size and clean. For the price it was perfect.

Überaus freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Wir durften zuschauen wie um 17 Uhr wilde Rehe gefüttert wurden. Anschließend würde uns eine kostenlose Tour an den See mit Sonnenuntergang angeboten. Wir buchten über Nehansa eine Safari in den Yala-Nationalpark. Fahrer war top. Nehansa ist bedingungslos zu empfehlen. 5 Sterne

Very good facilities: clean room with AC and a comfortable bed and shower, and good food.
But most of all extremely friendly and helpful personell. We received a tour of the local lake in the evening, coffee and cake at 4AM before our safari, fresh home made pastries from their own bakery and we were dropped off at the bus station ~6 km away - all free of charge. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Problemlose Organisation einer Nachmittagssafari, bei der wir sogar Leoparden sehen konnten. Reibungslose Abendessenbestellung und gutes Frühstück. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Personeel is zo lief en behulpzaam. En super schoon, ook heel fijn.

チェックインの際にはバス停まで迎えに来てくれ、帰りもバス停まで送ってくださいました。また、私たちはミーギリが食べたく相談したのですが、時間が遅く無いかもしれないと言われました。でもその後わざわざ探してくださり、部屋まで持ってきてくださり食べることができました。
サファリツアーもでき、とても良い宿でした。

We had a very nice stay at Nehansa Resort Yala. The owner’s behaviour was very welcoming and friendly, and the cleanliness of the resort was excellent.

One of the best parts was seeing jungle deer in the garden — you can even feed them, which was a unique experience. They also kindly offered us a complimentary visit to Tissa Lake, which made the stay even more memorable. They also provide safari jeeps.

Excellent value for money . The host kindly arranged our safari to Yala. They also took us into their backyard to feed the wild deer & to a nearby lake to see the bats & crocodiles. They truly went above & beyond.

We have stayed in 8 hotels and homestays during our tour of Sri Lanka ... and this was the best, it was exceptional!
The room, the location were great.
But the thing that really made it was the care, consideration, and friendly approach of the staff and the owner.
From fresh coconuts on arrival, to feeding deer in the garden, to bird and bat watching, to very early pre-safari drinks all included.
Plus a volunteered free lift the short distance to our chosen restaurant.
I 100% recommend a stay here.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in Nehansa Resort, da wir eine Safari im Yala Nationalpark gemacht haben. Der Aufenthalt war von vorne bis hinten toll! Wir wurden von Beginn an herzlich empfangen. Bei der Ankunft gab es frische Kokosnüsse, danach wurden uns hinter dem Haus Bambis gezeigt und am Abend ging es noch auf eine kleine Mini-Safari zum nahegelegenen See (gesehen haben wir dabei Krokodile, Vögel, Büffel und Schildkröten).
Am nächsten Tag ging es um 04:30 los zur Safari im Yala Nationalpark. Wir haben die Safari direkt über die Unterkunft gebucht und würden dies 100% weiterempfehlen. Der Preis ist angemessen und unser Fahrer hat sich sehr bemüht, dass wir so viele Tiere wie möglich sehen können. Wir haben in der ersten Stunde unserer Safari direkt einen Leoparden gespottet und waren die ersten 5 min ganz alleine bevor die anderen Jeeps kamen. Das war eine ganz tolle Erfahrung!

Personal super zuvorkommend. Toller Ausflug zu den Fledermäusen inklusive.Rehe hinterm Grundstück.Super gepflegte Anlage. Einfache, ausreichende Unterkunft. Moskitonetze vorhanden. Safari und Weiterreise wurde für uns organisiert. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.🫠

Chambre tres confortable et propre. Le personnel et le manager sont toujours disponibles et prets a aider. Nous avons beaucoup apprecie la visite aux daims et la promenade aux lacs en soiree : merci pour ce geste.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit sauberen Zimmern und einem guten Frühstück. Das Nehansa Team ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Man kann auch super Abendessen dort. Ich hatte ein technisches Problem mit der Dusche und bekam sofort ein neues Zimmer weiches sogar größer war. Man kann über die Unterkunft bequem die Safari buchen und wird vorm Homestay abgeholt. Bei der Abfahrt hat mich der Besitzer sogar zum Bus gebracht. Einfach rundum eine tolle Unterkunft die sich wirklich Mühe gibt alles optimal zu gestalten.

Właściciel bardzo miły i pomocny. Na powitanie otrzymaliśmy napój w postaci świeżego kokosa oraz zostaliśmy zabrani na wycieczkę nad jezioro. Bardzo miły gest ze strony właściciela. Pokoje duże, czyste, przy pokojach na tarasie miejsce do siedzenia. Bardzo dobre wi-fi. Korzystaliśmy również z organizacji Safari w Parku Narodowym Yala- bardzo dobrze zorganizowane, przewodnik rewelacyjny. Zobaczyliśmy lamparta bardzo blisko nas, słonie chodzące obok samochodu, małpy, krokodyle, antylopy, ptaki, mangusty itd. Polecam skorzystać z tej usługi. Przepyszne posiłki, obfite śniadania wszystko w dobrej cenie. Najlepsze miejsce w jakim byliśmy na Sri Lance.

Clean location, friendly host who offered us a bonus evening walk to observe the local fauna. We also booked a safari in Yala with their help at a fair price.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und Familie, Top Guide für die Safari im Nationalpark, Saubere Zimmer und schöne Unterkunft mit sehr gutem Essen. Ich habe sogar zum Geburtstag ein Kuchen und Geschenke bekommen! Ich kann das Nehansa Resort nur empfehlen!

Si vas a pasar por la zona para visitar el Parque de Yala, sin duda, este alojamiento es una opción más que recomendable para alojarte. La relación calidad precio es inmejorable. La habitación es muy amplia, limpia y bonita y cuenta con climatización, que se agradece bastante. El desayuno completo y muy rico y se sirve además en un bonito jardín. Si esto no fuera suficiente, el personal ofrece un gran servicio, ayudándote en todo lo que necesites. Aunque no tenía el safari con ellos, se levantaron de madrugada a esperar a que nos recogieran y nos ofrecieron un pequeño desayuno. Me dejé la cámara en el jeep del safari y se ofrecieron a llamar a la empresa para recuperarla y además fueron muy amables llevándonos a ver murciélagos y ciervos. Una estancia estupenda.
