Holbox was well worth a visit and Casa Barbara was perfect for our needs
Pros:

We had a lovely room at the end of the corridor with nice terrace area. Fairly quiet, not too far from the port and not too close to the the noisy bars.

Cons:

Only 2 hangers in the closet and a fridge would have been nice. Shame the pool is in the shade.

Super ubicación, muy cerca de todo, la piscina muy limpia

Cons:

La regadera es horrible , el agua salia por todos lados , era imposible quitarse el jabón , se descompuso la bomba del agua y un rato no hubo, en la entrada principal salio por una tubería un agua super apestosa

Good value mid-range hotel with an excellent patisserie and a nice garden
Pros:

The hotel Casa Barbara is a good value for money mid-range option in Holbox. It’s an easy five minute walk from where the ferry arrives, and another five to ten minutes at most to walk to the beach. Rooms are large, with air-con. Breakfast from the patisserie was very good; omelette, delicious pastries, good coffee and French toast with fresh fruit. We ate in the garden in the evening and were very entertained by the resident family of raccoons.

Cons:

WiFi is good in the ground floor rooms but on our first night we had a room on an upper floor that had little or no WiFi (we had no phone signal either). The hotel was able to offer us a different room for the rest of our stay.

Pros:

Good big room, with separate sitting area and dining table.

Cons:

Lots of soft furnishings and bedding were stained.
Towels not changed until I asked on the 4th day.
When booked, offer included 150 mx breakfast, 20% off food. This was never made available.
The shower was never warm - despite asking.
Construction noise.

Disappointing
Pros:

Good location. All areas in Holbox within walking distance.

Cons:

When we arrived they mixed our rooms. We specifically booked two double twin rooms due to the composition of our party. They gave us originally 1 king-size and one twin but they gave us the first night an extra room but then we had to loose time next day to sort out thw rooms. Breakfast, included, was bad. Coffee and a bowl of fruit with a splash of yoghurt and a piece of sweet bread. Very disappointing.

Stanza grande e pulita. Facilmente raggiungibile dalla fermata dei traghetti. Staff cortese.

Cons:

La stanza seppur bella, restava molto umida.
Il maggior problema è però l' insonorizzazione pessima delle stanze relativa al bar sottostante. Se capita la serata karaoke non si riesce a dormire fino a tardi. Il bagno ha inoltre la finestra che da sulla cappa dello stesso bar con relativi odori e rumori provenienti dal bar.

Las recámaras son muy grandes, y el personal de la recepción es muy amable y trata de ayudar con cualquier cosa que lo preguntes. También hay posibilidad de comprar day pass para un beach club.

Desafortunadamente había varios detallitos que su acumularon.

Habíamos 3 recámaras, y en una de ella cuando llegamos, todavía había las pertenencias de otras personas. Me imagino que antes de dar la llave del check-in, deberían checar si la recámaras esta lista para tener nuevos huéspedes.

También en las recámaras había falta de productos, como jabón o shampoo. Cada recámaras tenía su falta diferente.

El agua caliente depende de tu recámaras. En une de nuestras recámaras, no había agua caliente para los 3 días. La personal del mantenimiento pasó, dijo que si había, pero... No había.

Ventanas a veces no cerrarán bien, y entonces se escuchaba mucho el ruido de la calle con los taxis cuatrimotos.

Otra vez, no son detalles muy graves y el muchacho de la recepción estaba de buena onda para apoyar, entonces no nos molesto mucho, pero podrían ser arreglados fácilmente para hacera experiencia aún mejor.

Decepção.
Pros:

Funcionário da recepção muito gentil e simpático. Sempre procurando nos ajudar.
A localização da pousada é boa, fica bem perto do terminal do ferry e muito próximo ao centrinho das lojas e restaurantes.

Cons:

Tivemos vários problemas com as instalações do hotel, o que atrapalhou bastante a nossa estadia no local. No dia que chegamos não tinha água quente no nosso banheiro, falamos na recepção e fomos tomar banho em outro quarto porque só no dia seguinte conseguiriam ajeitar nossa água. No dia seguinte, de manhã, acabou a água do quarto, não tinha água quente nem fria. Por fim… no dia de irmos embora nosso banheiro estava com um cheiro terrível de urina e quando descemos para tomar café, o hotel exalava cheiro de esgoto. Bem desagradável!!!
