Cons:

Unsafe experience as a solo female traveler – employees chased me on the beach

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most frightening experiences I have had while traveling.

First, the dorm room did not match the photos. The bed only had a loose sheet with no mattress protector, and I woke up with multiple bites on my body after sleeping there. I cannot confirm the cause, but it raised concerns about possible bugs in the bedding.

The dorm room door also did not properly close. I had to repeatedly wake up during the night to shut it, which is concerning in a shared dorm setting. When it did close, it had to be slammed loudly, waking anyone sleeping near the door.

The shower water also never got fully hot and stayed lukewarm.

However, the most serious issue happened at the restaurant.

The dorm price is inexpensive, but the restaurant food and drinks are very expensive. During happy hour I ordered two margaritas. They arrived tasting like simple syrup water with almost no alcohol. After only a few sips I felt sick from how sugary they were. When I asked the staff to remake them, they simply poured tequila on top of the same drinks, which made them taste even worse.

When I politely asked if the drinks could be removed from the bill since they were undrinkable, the staff refused and insisted that I had to order two more drinks. I became overwhelmed and got up to walk to the front desk to speak to management about paying for my dinner and resolving the issue.

Instead, three male employees chased me down the dark beach and surrounded me while aggressively demanding payment. As a woman traveling alone, this was extremely frightening. I explained that I intended to speak to the front desk about the bill, but the situation became very confrontational.

Eventually they allowed me to pay for just my dinner, but the situation left me shaken.

Pros:

Die Einrichtung und die Gestaltung der Unterkunft ist sehr gut gewesen.

Cons:

Das Servicepersonal war absolut Inkompetent. Dauerhaft neben der Spur als wären Sie auf Drogen.
Zimmer extrem laut durch die Bar.
Samstag Musik bis 2:30 pm obwohl uns mittgeteilt wurde bis 12:00 Uhr.
Dusche mit Salzwasser? Sehr unangenehm zu Duschen

Pros:

People suggested this place while I was in Cancun. It is amazing and it has it is own private beach.

Cons:

In the rooms there are lockers but no space to put the thhings quickly, the sea is shallow so you have to go far to take a swim. The location is really far from the ferry, the only way to get there is by taxi. If you are a group or family is perfect but if you are alone it is quite challenging, even if the island is safe.

Le petit déjeuner était excellent et le beach club dans lequel se trouve l'auberge offrait un cadre de vie exceptionnel! j'ai séjourné dans un dortoir de 8 lits, avec uniquement des femmes et l'ambiance générale était incroyable. Auberge parfaite pour un séjour reposant !

Cons:

L'humidité dans les dortoirs. Vélos non disponibles le jour où j'ai voulu les louer. Tout le reste était parfait! Je recommande, meilleur qualité-prix à Isla Mujeres!

Recomendada estancia en Isla lejos del centro, cerca de la paz.
Pros:

Es un hostal íncreible, la ubicación puede no ser la más práctica si lo que quieres es estar en el centro de la ciudad.. pero si lo que buscas es paz y naturaleza, es ÍNCREIBLE. Cuentan con un frente al mar, un muella y muchas camas para disfrutar la playa! Recomiendo y regresaré, esperemos continuen a este nivel. Todo limpio y muy amable el personal.

La música en la playa suele ser muy alta durante todo el día.

Pros:

Tout : l’emplacement, la plage privée, la plénitude, le cadre ! Je recommande vraiment cet hotel pour profiter de Isla Mujeres !

Cons:

Si on souhaite se reposer le cadre s’y prête mais beaucoup de musique donc pas possible de dormir tôt, sinon tout le reste est parfait!
