Expectation Vs. Reality

Their pictures look professional but we received subpar/horrid experience. We stayed 9 days and I wished from the first day that they offered a refund so we could switch to a better place. Upon Checking in we were greeted by a bathroom that was dirty and smelly. They said they tried to clean it but the water leaves those marks. We didn't buy it so we simply asked them to provide us just a scrub and soap so we could clean it ourselves and we were able to make it spotless. The toilet we had was also defective. Whenever you would flush it, some of the water flushed would seep out of the side making the bathroom always stinky. We told them about it but nothing was done to fix it. They also said they were going to try to provide muriatic acid to help with cleaning thw bathroom but we didn't receive it, nor was it followed up. The water pressure was also low it takes a minute for you to wet your whole body. The drain was also not good. By the time you're done taking a bath, there's an inch of water on your feet that you have to wait for it to go down. At times they would also TURN OFF the water on you WITHOUT ANY WARNING!!! You could be pooping and then get stuck, or be showering with soap in your eyes and get stuck there if noone's with you to ask in front to turn it back on. Our room had a door to share with another room that was empty. It had a lock but it wasn't locked when we arrived in our room and it also had a Big gap on top were mosquitoes could fly into our room so it didn't matter if we closed our door, we would still get mosquitoes but even worse is I never felt safe as someone could simply raise a phone camera up there and start taking pictures of us or record us when we're not looking.. I always had to look there whenever we change our clothes. They have wifi but it barely reached our room so we had to use our own data.

Bathroom was not clean, water scale marks on taps and shower as if they had not been wiped since last people stayed, shower curtain very dirty and mouldy, TV did not work, aircon leaked water, breakfast was very small and on our second day we had asked for it to be served at 7am so we could get our 8am ferry and we waited till 7:20 before having to leave without it. Small changes to cleanliness would improve this place so much!

Leaking AC, we had to request a cleanup during a 4 night stay. Awful breakfast. Unpleasant staff. When we were leaving, our transfer did not show up. We needed help. They had no phone or balance to make any calls to the agency. We were left organizing last minute transfer by our selfs.

The trainees that I met were really sweet and nice. But the remaining staff were a bit unbothered. The manager in particular. I first thought he was the owner. Early in the morning he starts yelling in the hallway that breakfast is ready. Overall not a pleasant man.

Noise: Paper thin walls, heard every dog barking and every child screaming, people talking in the restaurant…
Cleanliness: room was overall in a very bad condition, bed sheets were dirty, „pillow“ was a foamboard which wasn’t even covered in linen - you could see the yellow foam poking out… including hair from prior guests.., toilet seat/lid broken, everything covered in limescale, shower head and attachment broken
Breakfast: only 3 options - fish with eggs or meat with eggs, pancakes. When we asked for fruits since we are vegetarian, they provided us with 2 bananas (one for each)
It said that coffee was included. First day we didn’t even get anything to drink, second day it was instant coffee.
Staff: overall friendly and helpful after expressing our concerns.. they tried to fix everything as good as they could… but you can’t flip a shabby room into a standard one within 10 minutes..
The gentleman on the reception was also kind of rude when we asked what our breakfast options were on the last day since we had to take the ferry early in the morning. At least a cup of “coffee” or tea would’ve been nice… especially since all of the staff was already there when we left.

2nd time to be in this hotel but these time under new name and new management. It was awful this time, completely diff from before. This time TV is not working, no toiletries, air conditioning unit is not clean. I have to clean it myself as so much dust is accumulated. not recommended for a person with allergies and asthmatic. They didnt allow me to take my breaksfast for the last day included on my 3rd day since im leaving early. they informed me that they’ll just prepare my pre ordered breakfast for take out yet it was already 6am and the kitchen is not operational. I was not able to get the breakfast that I paid. To add up, Breakfast is always prepared late. pick up time usually is at 7:30 am for the tours yet kitchen opens past 6 already and you still have to wait for the food. No apologies from the staff for the food not prepared on my last day.

Breakfast need major improvement. Up until about 10 yrs ago theirs was found all over the Philippines. Instant coffee, tasteless bread not to mention the choice and quality of meats. It is time to join the rest and offer a better choice. Filipino breakfast was ok.
