We only stayed 30 minutes at this particular hotel. But upon being given a complimentary night at Ecolodge we were pleas
Pros:

Unfortunately we had to leave within 30 minutes of checking in because the room and linen was dirty
The lady at reception working that night was absolutely rude and horrible and also unhelpful. We had to resort to phoning Ecolodge which is part of the group of this particular hotel and we were then given a free night accommodation there instead

I loved it when we left.

This place should absolutely NOT be advertised on Bookings.com. A new owner bought it for contractors accomodation. When we arrived, we were standing almost 10 minutes in front of the gate. We were then escorded through drunk and undressed people at the pool area, liquor bottles and people were lying around everywhere, with very loud music. After being checked in, we were again escorded through the mess at the pool.
When we arrived at our room, we had to first go through a lobby filled with dirty dishes and pots. Very dirty and unsanitary.
THAT ROOM! It was smaller than my bathroom, with bo windows, painted BLACK... It looked like a dungeon being rented out by the hour. I couldnt even breath in there. I just had to get out.

I requested a refund, and complained about false advertising. They very quickly transferred us to Eco Lodge. What a lovely place with beautiful rooms, exceptional service and an amazing restaurant. Everything was perfect about Eco-Lodge! Please please please avoid Zoete Rust, its a traumatic experience. I would recommend Eco-Lodge with all my heart.

Spacious room and bathroom that is clean and quite with a very comfortable bed,
Pros:

The room and bathroom are very spacious and clean, and the bed is comfortable. Also loved the fact that you can sit outside in the garden without being disturbed.

Cons:

Battled to get the attention of the staff to book in on a Sunday afternoon, and would suggest that they get a box to drop off the keys early in the morning when you leave, as no staff are available at 06H30 in the morning.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer gebucht und hatten eine Übernachtung auf der Durchreise. Dafür war es völlig ausreichend und hat unsere Erwartungen erfüllt. Es war sehr sauber und die Kiinder hatten ihren eigenen Raum. Das Frühstück war super.

Cons:

Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Treppe zum Raum der Kinder wirkt etwas wackelig.

We left within 5 min. Place not as advertised

Cons:

Smelly' lack of windows, family room with extremly small steps to the uper floor (nobody mentioned super floor) steps to small to take bags upstairs. Only one bathroom downsatairs. No way could I let my kids use the stairs at night. Only one chair?? Do 5 people take turns to sit??
