Need to improve.
Pros:

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was ready to help.

Cons:

It is situated at the end of a narrow winding road. I had to ask for a duvet and a kettle even though they should have been provided with the room. The toilet seat was broken.

There were some constructions taking place in the same premises and it was very noisy in the day time.

Wir kommen wieder!
Pros:

Als ich das Hotel gebucht hatte, rief mich wenige Minuten später Sampa Wayo an, wann wir kommen. Tatsächlich holte er uns auf die Minute genau am Busbahnhof ab. Er nahm sich auch Zeit uns in ein günstiges, aber sehr gutes Restaurant zu führen. Das Hotel liegt sehr abgelegen, ist daher sehr sicher und bietet eine tolle Aussicht. Es ist leicht ein Tuk-Tuk zu bestellen und für 230 Rupien in das Zentrum zu fahren. Unser Zimmer hatte eine Klimaanlage, einen Ventilator und ein angenehmes Badezimmer. Obwohl kein Frühstück angeboten wird, bekamen wir für 600 pro Person am nächsten Morgen etwas zu essen. Insbesondere Sampa Wayo kümmerte sich um alles und las uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen an. Selbstverständlich organisierte er am nächsten Tag unseren Ausflug. Die Gastfreundschaft ist kaum zu übertreffen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. In Sri Lanka ist nicht immer alles perfekt. Man kann einfach freundlich fragen und das Personal versucht eine Lösung zu finden. Schade, dass wir nur zwei Nächte bleiben konnten.

Cons:

Da fällt mir nichts ein. Zum Verbessern gibt es immer etwas.

Great stay in a lovely hotel with an even better staff
Pros:

The hotel is very well kept and simple enough to enjoy a good stay. The staff is extremely helpful and kind and ready to assist with any need. Sampa, especially, went above and beyond to provide tailored guidance to show us around Ratnapura.

Cons:

The location was slightly outside the town. Not necessarily a bad thing in terms of peacefulness. It just required us to help guide tuk tuk drivers back to the place.

gem in Rathnepura.
Pros:

Without any prior planning, we discovered this gem in Rathnepura. We had intended to stay at Haputhale, but thebad weather forced us to 
change our plans.
The room was very comfortable with air conditioning, and the location is great.
it is not too far to the town center. 
The balcony gave us an extra space for gathering. 
Hotel staff are very amicable.
Place can recommend to everybody seeking peace with happiness.

Wait until renovation is done & staff are trained in customer care.

Most of staff uninterested not welcoming.Some appeared Casarva intoxicated. Weren’t aware we had booked a stay.

Overall great experience made special by Sampa
Pros:

This is a really good hotel that could be a great hotel. The rooms were clean, the A/C worked well and the staff were lovely. Sampa, the guide who kinda comes with the place was exceptional and made the stay here, for very reasonable extra costs. He tailors the experience to the visitor and is very quick to read what you want and don’t want.. in other words he’s not pushing you to buy stones from anyone, but is happy to bring you to the stone market. He seems to know everyone and all seem to respect and like him - which is a really good sign

Cons:

The only thing I would say is that there was no breakfast available on the premises - this is a real pain as the town in 3-4km away . However the staff kindly allowed me to bring in my own food from local supermarket and prepare my own breakfast using their kitchen and fridge. Also WIFI not great in one of the rooms and no fans or a/c in the common area / lobby of the hotel.
