Beautiful unit at an exceptional Hotel and property. Great location, ski in ski out as well as short walk to grocery market, and free gondola with access via gondola to village center and town of Telluride. In addition, several perks to property such as hot tub, pool, gym, valet, concierge and free shuttles in the area.
Nothing
I may have missed it in the details, but was not aware we had to pay to park there. I would recommend making this more a bold known feature so people can plan.
Very little.
I booked a 3 night stay in an apartment in Mountain Village, Telluride through Booking.com. The listing was made by Wild Oak Telluride. The booking confirmation stated a daily parking rate of $20 but when we checked in, the resort told us we would be charged $39. When I raised this with the property he replied in an email ‘I do know at a minimum we owe you for the incorrect parking fee that was advertised’. They never paid.
I also had a dispute as it was advertised as ‘Apartment with Mountain View’. The reality was very different with the apartment facing a turning circle opposite the Resort reception with constant traffic including the shuttle bus and delivery trucks (see the photos). We were offered an alternative apartment but lost a day visiting their office and then packing up and moving. I asked for a 50% discount on the first night. They later claimed that we had received an ‘upgrade’, a ploy to avoid paying the discount. The new room matched the particulars of the room we had booked and was not an upgrade.
The owner of Wild Oak acknowledged the error in the listing in an email saying ‘I have since been in touch with Booking.com as to how my unit was advertised as it was and why such a title as "Apartment with a View" came to be attached to it. This was never something we created or added’. It was, nonetheless, Wild Oak’s responsibility to check the accuracy of the listing. He went on to say ‘I hope to get a response from them (Booking.com) within the next few days. I followed up with Booking.com who messaged me – ‘Unfortunately, we have not yet received a response from them’.
I emailed the owner again and he replied – ‘Please reach out to Booking.com and let’s have them act as the mediator in resolving this is, placing the onus on me when it was his responsibility. I followed up with Booking.com who said 'that the property (Wild Oak) still hasn't yet responded'
Location was great! The king bed was comfortable.
The pull out couch was not comfortable. The property was a bit run down. The kitchen cabinets were old and one door was off the hinge. I was expecting more for the exorbitant price we payed per night.
The property itself was beautiful and the location was great.
Unfortunately, the fires in/near the Black Canyon of the Gunnison made the air quality too poor in Telluride to do outdoor activities, so we left early.
We really loved being in condo 2211! It was right across from the lodge and a few minute walk to the Market and the Gondola. Valet was always punctual and friendly. We called the free shuttle a couple of times to pick us up from the market. The market was super nice (think Whole Foods). The prices were comparable to Whole Foods but we did cook 3 dinners in the condo. The owners have a gas stove and cook top. Microwave and dishwasher - they provided dishwasher tabs.
There is a gas fireplace too that is double sided to the bedroom and the living room. The condo also has a private patio entrance and exit.
There are laundry facilities on the 3rd floor. The condo had laundry detergent as well but I had brought my own. You have to use your smart phone to download the app to place funds to wash and dry your clothes, which was nice since you can watch how much time is left before the cycle is finished. There is a coin operated laundry detergent and fabric softener dispenser.
The only complaint that I had about the laundry facilities was there was 2 washers and 2 dryers but one of the dryers did not work. The one dryer that did work, took two cycles to fully dry the load.
The condo was immaculate and was fully stocked with the promised setting of 4 of dishes. There is a strainer, small cookie sheet, boiler pan, large pot (boiling pasta), skillet, and cutting boards (steak knives, serrated knife, and other chopping knives). They even provided complimentary snacks such as Kind Bars, Starbursts, bag of coffee, cold Beer, bottle wine, and Bubbly Sparking Water.
Note: the coffee pot does not fit the maker. I had to manually push the “drain” with a butter knife to allow the coffee to run into the pot. I had a mess with the first pot I brewed.
The one thing we were we confused with was the parking. You have no other choice but to valet your vehicle for $35 per night. It may have been my own mistake but I was under the impression you could use the parking app to place as much time on your vehicle spot. So even if you check out your vehicle, you will still pay $35 for the day. A hold of $450 is placed on your credit card until check out for incidentals. Once the condo is check out by staff then the hold is lifted minus the parking.
Magical
Nothing
Good value. Nice kitchen.
Bed was uncomfortable….
The property is beautiful , easily accessible , clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. We dined at The View a few times and the food was great. We will return.
The water in the shower could have been hotter but we didn’t report that while we stayed there. It was plenty warm but hot would be great.
Are you kidding? This was an exceptional condo at a mountain resort. Beautiful. Fully furnished. Kitchen, bedroom, bath,, small patio, close to the lodge. Owner had a welcome bottle of wine, coffee, candy, snacks. Very comfortable, clean.
Free gondola rides from mountain to Telluride business area
The highlight of our trip.
Nothing was wrong with this facility. We were disappointed in the shops and restuarants in Telluride. Expected so much better. Thankful for the nice kitchen and dining area at the condo.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking!
This was the highlight of our great trip
Dining room staff at the lodge were friendly. The food was disappointing
the host was very responsive and the unit was clean, well furnished and nicely decorated.
the water in the shower never can fully hot and you couldn’t really open the windows because you are in a street level floor with a lot of workers doing construction so it lacks privacy.
Great location, nice room.
Needs curtains in the bedroom, too much light leaking in between the blinds at night.
