Comfortable stay in a wonderful location.
Pros:

Wonderful location for access to Kyoto train station. Clean and comfortable rooms, appreciate luggage storage before check-in, laundry facilities are across the street.

Cons:

It would have been helpful to know that the lights don't turn on unless you put the key cards in the wall. Figured that out after a little while. The shower and sink combination is a little bit tricky to figure out.

Best money per value hotel.
Pros:

It was relatively close to a main railway station and bus station for Airport bound busses. The closest subway station wasn't too far a way but still a good 10 minute walk. Very convenient as you are able to walk from the station right to your hotel. Very close to big shopping mall and supermarket. It has bike rentals near by.

Cons:

There weren't too much not to like. Staff was very friendly and even helped us with finding a parking space for our rented bikes. If I had to pick one drawback it would be its distance to the city centre. It had some restaurants and place to go near by, but generally you'd have to travel somewhere else to find a restaurant and things to do.
