The breakfast was very basic but the view made up for it. Not much to do in the area, but very pretty.

Not a lot
Location, pleasant staff, lovely balcony with a fabulous view, large room with coffee machine & fridge.
This is not a boutique hotel. It should not be marketed as so.
Breakfast is continental & I did not realise this at time of booking.
While lots of options at breakfast, it does not match the price point of the room.
Mattress needed replacing.
A lot of flush & heavy dust in bathroom radiator.
Toilet brush holder needs replacing & had previous dirty toilet water in it already.
A lot of Covid stickers in hotel & still a perspex screen around reception which is odd.
The lobby is very dark.
This could be a wonderful hotel with a little more attention to detail.
180e b&b should have been no more than 130e based on the above.

Excellent location
Die Unterkunft ist schön gelegen in Strandhill, etwa 7 km von Sligo Town entfernt. Der Strand und viele Restaurants sind circa 10 Gehminuten entfernt - nebenan ist aber auch ein leckeres Restaurant. Man kann wunderbar aufs Meer schauen und bei Sonnenschein den Ausblick genießen. Der staff war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder!
The location was good but if you were wanting to go to Sligo you need a car. The access to the hotel was good (if you needed a wheelchair). The staff at reception made you very welcome and the room itself was very comfortable and well equipped. The double bed was both large and comfortable. The view from the window was good albeit the the weather was inclement during our 2 night stay. The continental breakfast was very good especially the coffee. The bathroom with both a bath and shower was a good size and with plenty of hot water.
Their were a few niggles in the bathroom. The sink tap fitting was loose and the a dodgy LED light but this did not impact our stay. There was another sliding door to an outside area with a chair and to get to this you went through a porch via another door and on opening this it had a very musty smell which could be rising damp. That said this would not put me off staying here again. Not many places nearby to eat in the evening and we went to the conveniently located pub next door which was relatively expensive for nothing special to eat but again nothing to do with the hotel.
