Cons:

Etwas unhygienisch, schmutziger Teppichboden, Müll auf dem Balkon. Sehr hellhörig, bis spät in die Nacht Musikbeschallung im Gang vor dem Zimmer.

The beds.

Cons:

We stayed 3 nights. Room and bathroom were never cleaned: we actually asked by means of the door-hanger. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet rolls ourselves. Breakfast was okay-ish.

Each room offered a unique experience and was well-maintained, comfortable, and luxurious. The pool was also exceptionally well-maintained and spacious. The food exceeded our expectations in both quality and variety.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided outstanding service, always going above and beyond to make our experience comfortable and memorable. From the security officer to the manager, every member of the team was courteous, well-mannered, and genuinely eager to assist us at all times.
We also encountered an unfortunate incident during our visit, and the compassion and support we received from the staff were truly heartwarming. They were incredibly understanding and helpful, allowing us to extend our stay for a couple of extra days until the matter was resolved. Their hospitality, patience, and genuine care made a difficult situation much easier for us.
Every aspect of our stay—from the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms to the overall atmosphere of the property—was remarkable. The staff’s dedication and kindness truly set this place apart.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Anuradhapura. It’s not just a place to stay, but a place where you’ll feel genuinely cared for and warmly welcomed.

Pictures and building need some updating but nice staff.
Pros:

The staff were lovely. The pool was cool and the food was nice.

Cons:

Pictures are not recent. The shower had no pressure but was warm Not what I consider 4* . My bathroom needed a serious upgrade to be 4* . Far from city but I tuked everywhere and felt safe

Nice stay in older hotel.
Pros:

Staff were friendly, room was large and had good water pressure.

Cons:

Breakfast (although buffet) was not fresh and majority Sri Lankan Style, limited choice. The pool isn't like the photos anymore, with tables right along the edge and only four or so relaxing chairs to use. The hotel is definitely showing its age. We also only realised on our last day that there was a small gym/fitness room, although we weren't told about so we didn't know if we could use it
It also made us a bit uncomfortable with how many staff were running around, with badges and walkie talkies. If you ask for anything it takes four people to get accomplished (and therefore longer). We stayed in a family room (one that had decorative bunk bed) and it wasn't cleaned very well, as our child found on two occasions chewing gum, and there were also nails in some places stinking out.

La gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel. Nous sommes arrivés en fin de journée et nous voulions faire un safari à wilapathu (réservé que je recommande), la réception nous a tout organisé pour le lendemain matin à 5h nous avions le petit déjeuner ainsi que le repas de midi prêt le chauffeur et en arrivant sur place le guide était présent. Les Sri Lankais sont toujours très ponctuels. Nous venons tous les ans au Sri Lanka et cet hôtel est l'un des meilleurs dans lequel nous avons séjourné. Par sa décoration notre chambre est unique, l'emplacement est idéal. La literie est très confortable. Je recommande +++ cet hôtel. Allez y sans hésiter vous ne serez pas déçu.

Lo pasamos muy bien.
Pros:

Toda la gente del hotel fue muy atenta.Las habitaciones eran cómodas y cada una está decorada de una temantica diferente.Tenia unas mesas de billar.Una parte de la piscina le daba la sobra y con la calor que hacía se agradecía.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel White House, Anuradhapura. Everything was excellent – the room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, and the food was very good with a nice variety. The overall cleanliness and service standards of the hotel were impressive.

The staff were very supportive and always ready to help whenever needed. I would especially like to thank Mr. Ekanayake (From Security) for his exceptional support and kindness during our journey. He is truly a gentleman and made our stay even more memorable.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Anuradhapura and I will definitely return again in the future.
