Gorgeous property and wonderfully located but i would advise against booking it to avoid ruining your holidays trying to
Pros:

It really is beautiful as in photos

Cons:

- sofa and armchairs are falling apart (legs are falling off)
- second bathroom leaked sewage water which stunk
- staff was useless in solving the problem, we had to call them for 3 days straight to fix a plumber’s visit to fix the leaky toilet (at day 3 the leak reached the bedroom and not only stunk but also made one of us slip and fall). The agency refused to put us in touch with the owner and blatantly lied he didn’t speak english - a few days later, at the owner’s request, we did speak on the phone and learned he did in fact speak english very well thanks to living in London for over a decade.
Overall horrible customer service, the few days off we took to enjoy palermo were ruined by having to chase after the property managers to fix the stinky leak problem which forced us to share one of the bathrooms (no biggie but if i pay for two i’d like to comfortably use both, one per person).

Authentic spacious beautiful characterful apartment
Pros:

Loved the space, beautiful, old, authentic, characterful apartment, and tastefully decorated. The host allowed us to book in a bit earlier, which saved us a lot of hassle. Very spacious, with gorgeous historic features. Central location, and we could walk to all the main sights.

Cons:

Small improvements would make this totally amazing, such as.....2 sets of keys instead of 1, with 4 people, not everyone wants to do the same thing at the same time One bedroom was like a palace, the other one was not. Eg, space to.hang your clothes in the 2nd bedrooom would be good. A coffee plunger or caffeteria that works on the stove would be a good adðition.
