Pros:

The room was clean and met our requirements.

Cons:

The property is situated on a very busy road on the top floor of a multi purpose building. There is a lift, however it is questionable that a female travelling alone would feel comfortable entering the premises.

Settling our account was a serious issue. The booking confirmation clearly stated in bold print that the hotel did not accept payment in cash. Having checked with the Hotel, we received a message informing us that payment by card was acceptable. Of note, an update to the booking site, indicated that payment would be handled directly by booking.com.

We arrived at the property with three different “cards” - 2 credit and one debit - accredited to three different international banks, and were somewhat surprised when the hotel staff insisted payment was only accepted in CASH.

Seeking clarification from booking. com, we were sent a holding reply, however the latter did absolutely nothing to alleviate the problem. Having spoken to numerous members of the hotel’s “management” team over several hours - the end result was a trip to an ATM machine at night requiring a long walk in darkness down the said busy road (4 lanes of traffic) with a hazardous footpath and very little lighting.

When seeking to pay for the room in cash at 0530 the following morning, the reception desk was manned by a young man, who although very polite, was completely out of his depth. Finally, 20 minutes later we left with a receipt having settled the bill

Quite frankly the whole thing was a farce and hardly conducive to a good night’s sleep.
