Very good hotel
Pros:

Very good hotel, we enjoyed everything.
We stayed in a villa, and it had everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a private pool. The breakfasts were good, with a wide selection of fruits. The staff were very polite and friendly.
You are taken to the beach by buggy, which takes about 2–3 minutes. At the beach, towels and a large cushion are provided.

Cons:

The only downside is that there are not showers and toilets at the beach.

Excellent short stay with friends
Pros:

I booked a 2 bedroom family room and was unexpectedly upgraded to a villa with a pool. The villa was spacious with a large kitchen, living, dining area, a washer and dryer, and a private pool. The hotel established a whatapp chat to check in us after check-in and responded to our requests promptly. Daily breakfast had a wide variety of eastern and western options with a nice selection of tropical fruits. The rooftop pool was perfect for sunset and relaxation at the end of the day. I would recommend staying here again.

Absolutely loved it!
Pros:

Very friendly and kind staff, absolutely loved the skybar and the view from it! The roomsize was great, we were really happy! And that gym view... WOW!

Cons:

Curtains and carpets almost everywhere stained (corridor, dining area sofas, room curtain) it takes away from the luxury atmosphere.
The jacuzzi temperature is a bit too cold, probably otherwise we wouldn't move from it! :D

Relaxing holiday in Langkawi - minor changes would really elevate the experience
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Riyaz, what we liked :
- The location, close to Pantai Cenang beach and some lovely restaurants across the road
- The beds and pillows were really comfortable, the room was spacious and bright
- Sound insulation was good, we never heard our neighbors
- Staff was very helpful and professional, check in was quick and easy
- The view from the pool area was wonderful, especially around sunset
- The little buggy service to drop you off at the beach was a welcome plus
- Bathroom was spacious and comfortable
- I appreciated getting numerous bottles of water delivered every day, we never ran out
- It was nice to have an iron in the room

Cons:

Things that could be improved :
- Some areas of the hotel REALLY need some serious TLC : the carpets in the corridors are very dirty and full of stains, not a 5* feeling, same with the curtains and soft furnishing in the room ( ripped or stained). Some areas around the jaccuzi and some of the pool towels were also pretty tired.
- Room was made everyday ( beds was made and towels changed) but there was 0 cleaning involved, not even a quick hoovering or dusting, which meant we had dirt and sand for 4 days - there was also no replacement of shampoos or shower gel, we had to request it from one of the staff
- There is currently a MAJOR building site on the Sea view side of the hotel, the noise is not an issue as the insulation was good but it does affect the view and the chance to sit on the balcony during the day, I think a mountain view room would be more enjoyable
- Cocktails on the rooftop were pretty bad but we found that to be true across the island.
- Food options quite limited too on the rooftop, mainly greasy Western food - service on the rooftop was also pretty inconsistent with tables not being cleared and orders not taken.
- Not the hotel's fault obviously but the beach near the hotel wasn't very nice to swim. The water was contaminated with black water and very smelly. It was ok to sit and have drinks nearby but we didn't step into the water

Overall none of these were huge inconveniences, it just means the hotel is lacking that 5* feel, more like a 3*+ or 4* and this could be improved through minor changes

It was a pleasant stay at the Riyaz, I highly recommend it
Pros:

All the staff were very kind and cheerful.
Very close to the beach about 5min walk and buggy available from 7am to 7pm.
Beach side umbrellas, towels and bean bags.
Nice restraunt

Cons:

I just wished to have a better sea view as shown in the photos prior to booking.
