Our recent stay at the New Serkong House was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The hotel is pristine, with every corner of the property, from the inviting lobby to our comfortable room, being immaculately clean. The staff deserves special commendation for their warm, professional, and genuinely friendly service; they were always on hand to offer helpful recommendations and ensure our needs were met. The location is truly unbeatable. Tucked away perfectly, it provides a peaceful escape while still being conveniently close to all the local attractions. However, the most memorable aspect of our visit was undoubtedly the incredible views. Our room looked out onto a breathtaking panorama that was simply stunning, especially at sunrise. This hotel combines a serene environment with top-notch service and an unparalleled scenic backdrop, making it the perfect choice for a memorable getaway.
The staff - Yangchen at the front staff, the restaurant staff and the cleaning ladies were all extremely kind and helpful.
It is unfortunate that there was building work going on during most days right next to my room. The disco beat from the main chowk in the evenings was also quite loud but I know these are factors beyond the control of the guesthouse.

Hotel with a very good location. Comfortable and well equipped room. But above all I must highlight the professionalism, kidness and availability of its staff to help you with everything you need. They deserves congratulations.
Highly recomended hotel.
A cosy, clean and quiet guest house situated right next to the Main Square. Love the en-bloc view from the balcony, as well the small garden leading up to the gate. The reception staff are helpful and friendly, and so are the kitchen staff. Food from their own Restaurant are pretty decent, cooked with great care. Check-in and check-out process are efficient, in fact much better than many five-star hotels I have been to.
Curtains in the room do not block lights, so gotta get up by approx 6am everyday when the first sunlights shine in. Some room lamps are not stable, easily turned off if you touch the cable. Shower taps are very broken and loose (it did came out every use) and should be attended to for proper repair. A shower screen door is missing in the room i stay, so water spilled to the entire bathroom after every shower.
Located next to main square, there’s a small slope that leads towards Serkong House that can be tricky but otherwise the entrance is well marked with big wide steps and a smart slant alongside the stairs for trolley bags. Housekeeping staff did a great job throughout and whoever I spoke to at Serkong was very helpful. The rooms are extremely comfortable with tasteful Tibetan interiors. Windows open up so good ventilation when needed, a large shared balcony and good light. You get a room heater, electric kettle, fridge, a locked wooden compartment for your valuables, tables & chairs, and a comfortable bed and clean linen.
The TV units don’t work, as I was told. Also, had issues with the geyser a couple of times, but it was fixed right away. However, still, the geyser plumbing should be rechecked thoroughly for all rooms for consistency.
A perfect location in McLeod Ganj, with lovely staff and very close to shops and restaurants. Super helpful team sorting out airport transfers, room service, and a delicious cooked breakfast before we went trekking. We stayed in late December and the rooms warmed up quickly.
No problems really, we were two families of nine in total, in one of the four rooms the beds were a bit hard. But we had a good visit.
Food was great and the staff were very helpful. Location is central and extremely convenient.
