Very enjoyable stay but would choose a lodge with more river view next time.
Pros:

Our room was spacious, spotless and had a lovely view of the garden. The hippo which came to mow the lawn at night was an added bonus. Breakfast options were extensive and although dinner choices were fewer, the dishes were delicious and ample.

Cons:

It's a pity that the lodge does not have more of a river view. And given its name, there is an expectation that one can see more of the Chobe River. Certainly from a ground floor room the view is limited to a very small window. The bedroom is sorely in need of a mirror, there is only a single mirror in the bathroom. The bedroom has ample wall space to include a mirror.

The local staff were lovely and really looked after us. BUT...

Ich war schockiert, als ich aus unserem Badezimmer hörte, wie sich die südafrikanische Managerin Anje namentlich über Gäste beschwerte! Das war ein unerhörtes Verhalten. Dann fing sie an, über mich zu reden? Ich hatte sie während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nicht getroffen. Es war ein wunderschöner Ort, der zum schlimmsten wurde, an dem ich je übernachtet habe! Daher möchte ich Reisende warnen, dass die Managerin dieser Lodge, Anje, Ihren besonderen Aufenthalt unabsichtlich ruinieren könnte. Sie sollte gefeuert werden. I was SHOCKED to hear from our bathroom the South African Manager, Anje, complaining about guests by name! It was OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOUR. Then she began to speak about me? I had not meet her at any point during our over night stay. It went from lovely to the worst place I have ever stayed!As a result, I want to WARN travellers that the manager of this lodge,Anje does not have ANYONE's best interests at heart.

An beautiful intimate lodge
Pros:

What a beautiful lodge to stay in. Got to watch sunset off their own private deck. Food was fantastic, service amazing.

Never again, staff unprofessional and charges incorrect amounts to guests
Cons:

Facilities dirty, pool is milky and impossible to swim in, the staff is not attentive regarding the bills, and if they calculate incorrectly they don’t even pay you back. Never again.

I had a relaxing and wonderful stay. I will surely come back again.

Breakfast was superb. Improve a bit on the dinner menu to include a variety of food.
