Nice hotel in a historic building near Galata tower in need of a good manager,esp for its restaurant
Pros:

The room with sea view was very good. The staff was friendly and professional except for the restaurant.

Cons:

The dinner in the restaurant was a disaster. I could not get a wine list. Then we were waiting for the food 50 minutes in almost an empty restaurant. Then they brought us the main courses first and the starters later. And one of the main courses was chicken instead of lamb... By the way, the food was good, so the chef is doing something right.

Pros:

Очень классные разнообразные , вкусные завтраки , с видом на всю красоту Стамбула. Но очень маленькие номера. Чуть чуть переоценено в стоимости. Понравился хамам. Говорят что 30 мин в подарок , но по факту ты 30 мин платишь. Очень вежливый , супер персонал. Спасибо , это скрашивает минусы.

Overall an ok experience
Pros:

The property is well located. Close to the galata tower and quick access to the train station with restaurants around it

Cons:

The staff is not particularly friendly. I had a problem with noise at 2:30 am around my room made by the cleaning service and I reported that the next day so they could change me to another room cause I am a light sleeper and I was told that was IMPOSSIBLE and pretty much I was lying until they reviewed the cameras and they found out I was right. A thing to learn: the client is always right! Breakfast is good but no variation whatsoever, you will eat the same every day. The Hammas is very good though, that’s a good experience although is expensive, Hanna was the best massager at the Hammas. The restaurant is ok but the access is terrible with very inclined stairs, something I noticed about Istanbul is that is not friendly for handicapped people and no wheelchair access.
The room was clean, they receive you with fruits and cookies that’s nice, but to me it is very expensive for what they really offer and you have to pay breakfast separately

Pros:

Unser Aufenthalt im The Galata Hotel Istanbul – MGallery Edition war insgesamt durchwachsen und bleibt leider deutlich hinter dem zurück, was man von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel auf mitteleuropäischem Niveau erwarten würde.

Die Zimmer selbst sind modern, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bieten eine gute Größe. Die Betten sind bequem, das Badezimmer gut ausgestattet und auch WLAN sowie Smart-TV funktionieren einwandfrei.

Cons:

Die ersten beiden von insgesamt vier Nächten waren schlichtweg eine Katastrophe. Unser Zimmer lag direkt unter dem Restaurant bzw. Veranstaltungsbereich, in dem an beiden Abenden Hochzeitsfeiern stattfanden. Die Musik war extrem laut (inklusive traditioneller türkischer Musik mit viel Bass), dazu kam permanentes Tanzen und „Gehüpfe“, wodurch der Lärm und die Vibrationen deutlich im Zimmer zu spüren waren. Die Feiern dauerten jeweils bis Mitternacht, danach wurde noch bis etwa 1:30 Uhr lautstark aufgeräumt – inklusive Möbelrücken. An erholsamen Schlaf war absolut nicht zu denken.

Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass auf unsere Beschwerde reagiert wurde und wir für die restlichen zwei Nächte ein ruhigeres Zimmer bekommen haben. Diese waren dann tatsächlich angenehm und entspannt.

Das Frühstück, das separat bezahlt werden muss, haben wir nur am ersten Tag genutzt. Es ist im Verhältnis zum Preis enttäuschend – sehr teuer und qualitativ sowie von der Auswahl her nichts Besonderes. Die Butter war ungenießbar - wahrscheinlich Ziege.

Ein weiterer negativer Punkt: Im Restaurant wird am Abend geraucht, was für uns ein klarer Grund war, dieses zu meiden.

Das Personal an der Rezeption wirkte insgesamt eher unmotiviert und wenig engagiert – auch hier entspricht der Service nicht dem, was man von einem Haus dieser Kategorie erwarten würde.

Fazit: Das Hotel hat durchaus Potenzial und kann für ein paar Nächte in Ordnung sein – vorausgesetzt, man bekommt ein ruhiges Zimmer. Insgesamt jedoch kein echtes 5-Sterne-Erlebnis.

Pros:

I like the district where hotel is situated, very close to Galata and all kind of public transport. The hotel is rather good. Helpful staff. Rooms are equipped with all required things. Breakfast is good, nice view from the restaurant terrace.

Cons:
