nice breakfast.
Nice seaview
nice women at frontdesk
poor beach
The outdoor pool area
They were not accommodating. I never write reviews, but the fact that I feel I have to should tell you how disappointing my stay was.
Let’s begin with check-in: upon arrival, the woman at the front desk wasn’t friendly—didn’t even say hello, just asked for my passport. When I finally got to my room, it looked absolutely nothing like what was displayed on Booking.com or online. The bathroom was tiny, old, and dirty. I had originally planned to celebrate my birthday here, and I couldn’t imagine being comfortable in that room, so I asked to be moved.
They switched me to another room that was more spacious, but the bathroom was still terrible—outdated, dirty, and the tub didn’t even drain, so every shower turned into a small pool. Housekeeping also showed no respect for privacy; on multiple occasions, they walked into my room while I was inside, even after I had said “busy.”
Breakfast was another disappointment—the bacon tasted like plastic, and I’ve had better food at a gas station. The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the outdoor poolside area. The only time I truly enjoyed myself was when I was away from the resort.
The staff could not have cared less about whether I was enjoying my stay. When I raised my concerns, they were dismissive. Eventually, I was so disappointed and frustrated that I decided to move hotels altogether. This has never happened to me before, and I’ve traveled to several countries around the world. Without question, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
To make matters worse, they refused to refund the days I didn’t stay. I spoke to both the woman and gentleman at the front desk who told me, “It’s not our problem you aren’t enjoying your stay.” I also contacted Booking.com, but the resort rejected my refund request.
I would never, ever stay at this resort again, and I am extremely disappointed in Booking.com as well. This was my first and last time booking through them.
We have stayed at this hotel 9 times and have seen all the changes the hotel is now getting back to it best again the last two years have seen big improvements new pool and terrace and now new restaurant area and bar best thing about hotel is location right on sea and the amazing staff every member staff so friendly we arrived late night manager so helpful big thank you to all staff looking forward to coming back and seeing more improvements
The breakfast had a large selection of different types of food so as to appeal to anyone. They had a wide array of sweet breads, etc that would appeal to all. Eggs were scrambled or boiled. They had a juice machine but also brought out a pitcher of fresh squeezed orange juice daily! The hotel's view is amazing as is the pool area and there are several good restaurants within walking distance plus you are just a few miles from Sorrento where there are many choices. The staff here is wonderful and the parking area is gated and secure. I highly recommend this hotel!
The only thing I did not like is that the restrooms are on the lowest level of the hotel on the 0 floor while the actual lobby entrance is on the 4th floor and the restaurant is on floor 1. Most of the meals are buffet although they do have a few single plate options from the buffet.
Fabulous hotel in a perfect setting. I was a little concerned after reading some negative reviews but I can honestly say that the hotel staff went over and above to be helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Francesca on reception was a perfect example of making you feel welcome and going above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating.
Hotel shuttle to Sorrento was a great asset and easy to book.
Only negative for us was the very overpriced hotel bar but apart from that everything was superb.
We stayed on a B&B basis at the hotel, and the food was good at each breakfast with a good choice of dishes. The bar is reasonably priced but occasionally has a 'pub singer' as 'entertainment'.
The hotel is about a 30-minute bus ride to the centre of Sorrento bus 008 cost €2 pp each way and runs every 20 minutes. There is a shuttle from the hotel about 5 times a day, also €2 pp each way. There are a couple of restaurants on the beach and 1 in the village. Apart from that, there is nothing to see/do in the area.
There is a pool at the hotel and access to the beach, but we did not use either.
Excellent hotel in a great location with pool, private beach and lovely food. Reception team very friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. Rooms are huge, beds comfortable, lovely balconies over pool and beach.
Pool open from 9am is nice but runs alongside restaurant so expect an audience! Beach also nice.
Breakfast outstanding, great mix of hot food like scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and potatoes, smoked salmon, fruits, yoghurt, loads of patisserie items and breads. Didn't have dinner there so can't comment, but based on breakfast, I'd guess it is good but seemed pricey at 40 Euros for full buffet.
Also a free shuttle bus into and out of Sorrento. Lovely place to stay.
Two quibbles - water for showers only warm not hot on all bar one occasion, and no kettle in room which they provided upon asking, though it wasn't until the third attempt that they provided one that worked!
TOP TIP: Visit Dal Ceppone pizza restaurant for dinner, only 10 minutes walk away. Two big and lovely pizzas, a bowl of hot fries big enough for two, litre of water and large Peroni for under £10 each. Crazy value and good quality.
We had a short stay in this charming hotel. The decor in places looks dated, but that should not put you off visiting, it has real charm as it feels like it would have been very opulent when it opened. It’s spotlessly clean with very friendly and incredibly helpful staff. It’s a few miles outside Sorrento - but there is a regular free shuttle from the hotel into Sorrento central bus station. We would be happy to go back there.
Camera pulita, anche se l’arredo un po’ datato, personale gentile e professionale.
Posizione eccellente praticamente sul mare con con vista mozzafiato. SPA e piscina interna ed esterna
Top.
Ideal location great staff! Pool and beach superb! 30 minute free shuttles to and from Sorrento! Would definitely stay again!
We were offered a sub- par room and when we pointed this out the management offered to correct the issue. We ended up with a great room.
The hotel itself was in a great location slightly away from downtown sorrento but they offered free shuttles throughout the day. Parking included and breakfast was also perfect. I did find a local mini mart approx 12 min uphill walk away.
Facility is nice but the rooms need attention. Our shower wouldn’t drain and leaked onto slick tile floor. We told front desk first day about it and they wrote a note but never addressed the issue so every time we showered it either had to be quick our the floor would get soaked. Wish they would have done something about it but otherwise good place to stay.
Direkt am Meer,
Hervorragendes Restaurant in unmittelbarer Nähe
Gratis Parkplatz
