An (albeit condensed) stay that could not have been more perfect!
Pros:

The Cartwheel Inn was an absolute hidden gem and both my husband and I had such a really lovely stay there.
We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we arrived and we enjoyed such a relaxing time in such a beautiful and peaceful part of the country.
The room in which we stayed was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and had such a comfortable bed.
The Cartwheel breakfast, which we both had, was superb.

Cons:

We were disappointed that our scheduled stay could not have been longer but we hope to return again for a longer stay some time in the future.

What a gem! 😊
Pros:

The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. They were all engaging and made us both feel really welcome. The menu was varied and our choices were delicious, I heartily recommend the chowder starter, breakfast was plentiful with good coffee, continental and hot food choices. Our room was warm and comfortable, we had a great birthday celebration.

Lived up to our expectations

We booked here because we’d had a lovely meal earlier in the year. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food is exceptional and the hosts are very welcoming. We’ll definitely be returning

Pros:

The room was fantastic, everything you could need was provided, we visited the pub in the evening for a meal and this was exceptional, we didn't think they could possibly beat it until we turned up for breakfast absolutely amazing!!

Highlight booking of the year. Fantastic good, attentive staff and lovely extras in the room :)
Pros:

I stay in a lot of rooms in hotels and guest houses on Booking.com and staying at the Cartwheel has been one of my highlights of the year. When you work away from home a lot as I do, its the attention to detail that makes a great stay stand out from just an ok one. So many larger hotels simply don't care about the small elements such as decent coffee, decent biscuits and care kits in the bathrooms. The Cartwheel does this really well and its really appreciated. On top of the that, the staff were cheerful, interested in their guests and very helpful. I missed out on the evening meal as I was visiting someone in the area but walking through the bar on arrival I could see the high quality of the food! The breakfast I did have, and it was really nicely cooked with lovely ingredients. So yes, all in all, I would thoroughly recommend the Cartwheel.

Perfect stay.
Pros:

Fabulous stay. The room…gorgeous, the staff wonderful, the restaurant food….evening meals and breakfast were delicious and great presentation. We loved it and the little touches added to our stay.

Cons:

That we weren’t staying longer….we will be back!

Excellent stay and superb food

Breakfast was excellent with yoghurt and fruit and granola plus cooked options.
We ate in the restaurant when we arrived and had an amazing dinner. We can thoroughly recommend this place to stay and to dine. The staff were friendly and helpful
