An amazing pub stay
Pros:

Excellent stay. Rooms very well equipped with lots of lovely extras, better than a lot of 4 star hotels. Staff super friendly and welcoming. Evening menu was excellent, well removed from standard pub fayre with exciting and different dishes all cooked from scatch. An amazing place.

Lovely country inn
Pros:

Had eaten here a few times before but decided to stay overnight this time. Staff friendly & interested in you. Knowledgeable about the area. Room was comfortable & clean with tea & coffee making facilities. The homemade biscuits & fudge were a treat.
Lots of local history & pictures in bar & rooms.
Yes, the bathroom is small, but has a toilet, walk in shower & a basin so has all you need, plus somewhere to put your toilet bag.
Breakfast was cooked to order & was excellent.
Evening meal was lovely, restaurant was busy with a lovely atmosphere.
Plenty of off road parking.

A lovely find and will return
Pros:

Fabulous stay. Rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. The ambience in the bar was great and the meal and service was superb. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. Lots of choice and delicious. Parking was simple. Definitely would recommend and will return

Well worth a stay and book a table in the restaurant,.
Pros:

The whole experience was good. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The room had everything you would need and the staff were lovely. I would definitely stay again.

An (albeit condensed) stay that could not have been more perfect!
Pros:

The Cartwheel Inn was an absolute hidden gem and both my husband and I had such a really lovely stay there.
We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we arrived and we enjoyed such a relaxing time in such a beautiful and peaceful part of the country.
The room in which we stayed was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and had such a comfortable bed.
The Cartwheel breakfast, which we both had, was superb.

Cons:

We were disappointed that our scheduled stay could not have been longer but we hope to return again for a longer stay some time in the future.

What a gem! 😊
Pros:

The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. They were all engaging and made us both feel really welcome. The menu was varied and our choices were delicious, I heartily recommend the chowder starter, breakfast was plentiful with good coffee, continental and hot food choices. Our room was warm and comfortable, we had a great birthday celebration.

Great food and great beer,
Pros:

Food was great and staff excellent. The cask ales were also excellent
