Mostly quiet, great wakepark, clean, comfy room, also good for remote work.
Cleaner shouting on the phone outside my room for hours, no healthy food in the restaurant.
The room was a good size
Arrived 7pm no where to get a drink or eat. Hard to find location in the dark. It was off season but the place was empty. No coffee in the room but there was a coffee machine.
Todo esta bien del lugar
Solo hay que modificar donde se ubica ya que en Google maps da otra ubicación
Nice clean rooms, quiet relaxing place to stay and a good price

I chose to stay at the Grand Mayan Water Hotel to be close to my friends who were staying at an all inclusive resort nearby, while avoiding staying at an all inclusive resort.
I'm glad for my choice, as the quiet location and jungle wildlife appealed to me far more than overpriced and underflavoured food surrounded by screaming children.
The hotel is a secondary business attached to the water-skiing park. There are only eight rooms, along with a rooftop terrace. For the first couple of days, there was only one other guest, who was part of my group. The quiet was amazing. The only day that anyone was using the water park was on the morning that I left.
The rooms are modern and comfortable. I slept well each night. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but I enjoyed coffee there in my downtime.
One of the staff told me to get up before 7 and go on the roof, as the toucans are often out. He also told me where the spider monkeys could be found.
I spent my free time in the mornings, before my friends were up, taking wildlife photos. I had arrived at the hotel in the heat of the day, and was pleasantly surprised by the birds and iguanas on full display then.
I organised transport from the Cancun Airport ahead of time and used local taxis to get around the area. The front desk was happy to call them when needed.
For the price and quiet, along with the wildlife, you can't beat this location. It would almost be worth booking for birders who had little intention to explore anywhere else.
The hot water takes a decent while to make it to the showerhead, but that wasn't a huge concern on the hot and humid days. The wifi was only weak on one day, and I enjoyed sitting in the restaurant area enjoying the climate rather than being in my room (stronger wifi there).
Functional, clean and affordable room, kind of like a motel but *NOTE*: this isn’t a hotel with a reception desk. The reception / check in is at the Mayan Water Complex front desk, during their business hours.
You can park in the Mayan Water Complex parking lot. When you are at the front desk, the hotel rooms are to the left and behind you, there’s a little sign and a cute path.
The website wasn’t overly clear: this isn’t a traditional hotel - it is a number of hotel rooms at the Mayan Water Complex, which is a waterski activity facility. So parking (free), check in/out etc. is at the Mayan Water Complex front desk. Be sure to be aware of check in hours and make sure you have communicated in advance because the hotel doesn’t have a dedicated reception desk. You use the front desk for the Mayan Water Complex.
(I spent a lot of time thinking I was at the wrong spot and trying to take non-existent back roads before realizing that I just needed to be at the Mayan Water Complex front desk.)
Also the sink water was nice and warm, shower took a long time to warm up.
Modern, comfortable and very clean. I attended a wedding at a nearby all inclusive hotel which required a long minimum stay, and I was very happy to stay here and to attend the wedding on a day pass. The hotel was next to a really cool wakeboard park as well, and the staff were very nice.
The WiFi did not work in my room while I was there. I was told they had a problem and they were fixing it, but it was not available during my short stay.
Good location next to the jungle very close to puerto morelos and close to playa del carmen.
Rooms spotlessly cleaned, wake park on site, very quiet and peaceful.
Wifi in rooms very patchy. Fitness room not open.
Wakeboard park- very nice hotel.
Hard to get to other restaurants. Not walkable to anything.
very new and clean room
location is awkward
