Everything
Nothing
The staff was very friendly and the highlight of my stay! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very cute. I loved the paint kit they provided. Gorgeous landscaping on the property. Kinnik restaurant was incredible.
The location is very far from everything and all the food is extremely over priced on the property. I was also expecting to have air conditioning in the room, especially considering the price point. My shower was dirty and had some sand on the floor and bugs on my floor and soap holder. There’s no place to fill up any water bottles yourself ( I drink a lot of water) so I had to keep messaging and asking for more water to my room. There is nothing walkable except Kinnik, so be prepared to just stay put. There are no TVs in the room either and an extremely small not well stocked gym. They told me there was a hot tub and another pool, but no one ever showed me where it was they just kept pointing and I tried looking for it for an hour one night and never found it. Over all, disappointed with my stay and wouldn’t recommend. For the same price point there are way better options! But if you just want to lay back and bird watch this is a perfect spot. Everything is way over priced though be prepared. I asked about a yoga class and they said it would be $185USD. I’ve been all over the world and I have never heard such an obnoxious price in any other country. Same for their cooking class. Just go into town and you can take one for 30-40$USD at this place it was almost $200. I just don’t like feeling like a place is milking me for money. Also at the end of my stay they added on an extra charge that they said they give back to the community. I had asked them to remove it, I just buy local goods that’s how I give back to the community. They didn’t remove the charge and it was another situation where I felt taken advantage of here. Very disappointing overall.
Every detail of the hotel was amazing. The food, service, location, and views were amazing. All of the staff was so sweet and polite. Whenever I come back to Guatemala I will certainly book at this hotel.
Location
Construction going on next door which woke us up at 6am to 6 pm
The location of the hotel is fantastic with the view of the lake.
For a hotel at this price point, the service and overall experience fell noticeably short of expectations.
The property promotes thoughtful touches like morning and evening “rejuvenation drinks,” yet this was only offered on the first day and never followed through during the remainder of our stay. Small inconsistencies like this detract from what should feel like a meticulously curated experience.
We arrived from an overnight volcano hike, and understandably had muddied body and clothes and used a face towel to clean up. Being charged a $30 fee for a soiled towel felt excessive and out of line with the level of hospitality one expects from a luxury hotel. Having traveled extensively across 38 countries, this was a first for me —and not in a good way.
The included breakfast was also underwhelming. Offering only a basic continental selection (fruit and beverages) seems disproportionate to the nightly rate, where a more substantial and elevated breakfast experience should be standard.
Lastly, while the on-site helipad is initially a novelty, it quickly becomes a nuisance. Frequent helicopter arrivals and departures disrupted the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere we were seeking.
Overall, while the setting has potential, the service, attention to detail, and guest experience do not currently justify the premium price.
The service was amazing! The pools are beautiful. I loved the pillow menu and daily cacao
The property is basically a town of its own. 20 minutes from pana & the bed wasn’t comfortable
Wunderschöne Lage, etwas erhöht über dem See. Tolle Aussicht! Sehr gutes Essen.
Everything. The location, facilities and staff were superb. The interior decor was quirky but brilliant.
For us there was nothing we didn’t like, but be warned there are a lot of steps if you want to use the infinity pool.
Rien
Absolutely stunning location, views and room decor. Our room had a bathtub on the balcony, which was divine. Everything was beautifully appointed, including the common areas. Loved taking out kayaks/paddleboards on the lake (included in the stay).
Felt a bit nickel and dimed at times, especially for the price we were paying. Breakfast was a “continental breakfast” - which was just coffee, juice, two pats of butter and bread. For the price, would have been nice to have a real breakfast. Additionally- felt like there were a few missed opportunities - why don’t light a bonfire in the evening by the lake for guests to enjoy? Would have been lovely - even when we asked for it, we got confused looks.
The property ground are gorgeous.
The rooms are a bit outdated in terms of air conditioning and technology. It is on a mountain so be aware it’s quite elevated and there are a lot of stairs.
Beautiful boutique hotel with a stunning view
The views, the furnishings, the colours and the space
Food was good but not great. I would have liked more choice.
100 pts
Todo! Habitación hermosa con una vista inigualable!
