The location was excellent. It was perfect for hiking the Santa Ana Volcano early in the morning.
The location is excellent, very close to the Cerro Verde National Park and with a great view from the restaurant to Lake Coatepeque. The included breakfast is amazing and the staff is very attentive. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious.
The rooms are built right next to each other with a thin wood wall between them so there's no sound isolation at all, that's a problem if you have noisy room neighbors. There was a problem with the hot water at the hotel so we had to shower with cold water.
The location is amazing. You take your breakfast with a stunning view of Lago Coatepeque and the hotel is a few miles away for the Santa Ana Park entrance.
The staff was very flexible and they let us hike the Volcano before check out. They also accepted a discount because we did not have hot water.
This is a very rustic place. It is basically a wooden cabin with very limited furniture. You are in the jungle so you do have bugs and moths. It did not bother us though.
We did not have hot water and water pressure was very low. We ended up not taking showers even though we really needed one (after hiking the Volcano).
This location is overprice for what it has to offer.
We came with a pick up truck so we had no issues in the parkway. However, a standard sedan would probably struggle there and I would recommend parking such a car on the street.
Everything was good, even great until...
Well, there are rats, especially noisy during night, running on the roof, in the walls and sadly also in the rooms. I simply couldn't sleep seeing one above bathroom at first and then hearing them all night.
Attentive staff, great location, nice food
The small pool in the suite wasn't working and they didn't tell us until we were there and asked about it, which was disappointing
Daniel was the best host. He was exceptional.
Bugs. I understand the location in deep in the mountains , but better critter management would help.
Restaurant onsite, nice hammocks for relaxing, close to park entrance for hiking Santa Anna volcano
Rustic and charming, like sleeping in a refurbished barn. Comfortable bed. Love the outdoor shower. Staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Best of all was the view from the restaurant terrace and fantastic cocktails and dinner.
I really like the rustic style of the hotel but at the same time really comfortable the bed are amazing.
The view of Coatepeque Lake is really pretty
The food was really good and the pluss was included with the room.
Had a great service from the waitress working at the restaurant, she was very friendly.Food and breakfast were good, the view of the landscape was beautiful.
The 2 nights i slept there, there was no one else exept staff staying next door, didn't even bother to apply hotel policies, threw a party at night and had sexual intercourse(probably with a prostitute) could hear everything(wall are thin)
Good energy here first time in El Salvador but i’m loving it. Also this is the most accommodating helpful staff I ever came across.. They went out of there way to make sure I was having no problems.. Also the ribeye on the menu is fire.. Also breakfast was included don’t sleep on the papaya juice it’ll charge you up for the whole day.. ALSO they upgraded the wifi router while I was there and now the Wifi is business grade.. Internet was blazing fast starlink 🙌
location and staff were great
a bit pricey
Great location for the National Park and lovely views
Could do with some hooks or hangers for the towels.
A side light would be nice (by the bed)
I liked the location: the proximity to Cerro Verde National Park, the view from the restaurant, and the fact that the rooms were in a wooded area not too close to the road. The cost was fair, the rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was nice, breakfast was good.
There were a lack of hooks in the bathroom to hang any towel or bathroom kit. The room and bathroom were a little dark. Nothing to really fuss about.
Very friendly staff. Beautiful views. Good large breakfast. If you don’t have a car: They arranged a guide and transport to climb Santa Ana ($35 for family of 4, $15 transport to the trailhead) - then in the same day we added on $15 to take us up to Cerro Verde and eat lunch do the 45 min forest trail. Another day, for $50 we went to the lake, ate lunch and took a boat trip. They also arranged airport transport.
When others say the walls are thin…they are not exaggerating. You can see lights in the gaps in the wood to the next room (up towards the ceiling). You can hear everything.
