Hotel El Infinito Surprise!

Upon my arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, at 16:00 hrs on the 5th of March 2026, I called Hotel El Infinito for a shuttle bus as advertised on their website
I waited for 2 hours, there was no shuttle bus. I called the hotel the final time. The receptionist stated that she had been calling me and that i did not answer! Lie...no evidence of missed calls on my phone. When I told her that my number which I had used was not local, she said that I should have told her so!"But she had stated that she had called me on the same phone, Liar! Instead, she advised me to book Bolt Taxi. I did not feel comfortable with this option because i have read how risky Bolt is. I used the Airport approved Taxi instead.
At the hotel, no towels provided. I asked reception, no towels were supplied. I failed to shower.
All the sockets in room 23 were not working. The receptionist on duty kindly learnt me her charger as for some reason my charger could not work although it had been working when I was at Hotel Southern Sun Sandton earlier in the week!
Breakfast was a letdown. I was not given an option. Instead I was given a plate comprising of white toasted bread, (I don't eat white bread). The eggs were fried to their desire, I was not given the option of either boiled, poached, scrambled or sunny side up! some tinned beans, bacon and a piece of Hungarian sausage!
I had booked this place because it is classified as a hotel!
In my opinion, it should be classified as a hostel. Nothing of hotel value about it.
I had my experience and I will never book with them again.
Booking.com you have a responsibility not to mislead guests! Have you inspected this place for you to give it hotel status?

Very pleasant & enjoyable stay. Staff were super friendly & very helpful 👌👌
Pros:

The place was very clean & ready to check in.

Cons:

There was a party going on in the pool area which was very loud. I wanted a quiet place to lay low & be still.
