Very comfortable stay and we were well looked after by everybody.
Pros:

Loved everything about Doruk Palas hotel during our 4 day stay here recently. We got the room on the top floor with the terrace and the views were absolutely incredible. The hotel staff was some of the most hospitable, friendly and helpful I have ever come across, specially Muhammad, Bilal and Hassan. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast every morning was a treat with a good variety of foods. Everything was topped by Osman the cat - The chief security incharge who always kept an eye on us and even made room visits to check if we were ok! Would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

Cant think of anything that I didn’t like.

O misteris Osmanas (katinas) – mano didžioji meilė, jis tikrai liks atmintyje ilgam.

Išvykstame su liūdesiu.
Jei dar kada nors sugrįšiu, be jokių abejonių apsistosiu būtent čia.

This hotel is a 100% dump. At best a 2-star cheap motel, not a 4-star hotel.
Pros:

Nothing. The place is a dump. You're paying a 4-star hotel price for a 2-star hotel (or cheap motel) experience. Do yourself a favor and spend this money on a proper 4-star hotel.

Cons:

"I need you to do me a favour... to give us a 10/10", said the receptionist on our last checkout day. You can see from the photos uploaded (e.g. cup-sized hole in the wall in the room), what a horrible condition the property is in. But the fella still had the nerve to demand a 10/10 online review score from us. Talk about being dishonest and toxic pressure tactics. I suspect many of these other reviews were done under this pressure.
I'm summarizing the BAD issues we observed during our stay:
1) Cup-sized hole in the wall - see photo
2) Water leaking (with mold) on bathroom ceiling - see photo
3) Paints peeling from part of the room wall - see photo
3) Broken bathroom switch panel - see photo
4) Bed blanket barely wide enough to cover entire bed (i.e. gets chilly when sleeping at night for 2 people) - see photo
5) View outside is a dump and not as advertised; it looks like a landfill - see photo
6) Mattress too soft (bad for someone with bad back) and just 2 single-beds pulled together
7) Neighborhood NOT SAFE at night as the hotel is in the middle of an industrial area where shops are closed at night with no one around and not much lighting. We walked back around midnight and got harassed (shouted and whistled at) by passing vehicle. We also passed by a van parked in a dark corner alley with its engine switched off on the road up to the hotel; there were two guys inside (driver + passenger seat) who kept staring at us from that dark corner while we walked by. It felt incredibly unsafe, and thankfully there were two of us. At one point I had to tell my partner that if they approach us on foot or using the car she needs to run to the hotel as fast as possible to call for help. 8) Room is very old and rundown. Nothing like the photos posted online.
9) Manipulative staff - very warm and charming to disarm you from the sorry state of the property and to guilt trip you later into giving them good review.

Snídaně byly výborné. Pokoj jsou poměrně malinké, ale útulné a máte v nich vše co potřebujete. Pokoj byl po návratu vždy krásně uklizen.

Heerlijk relaxed hotel, centraal gelegen voor een mooie citytrip.
Pros:

Het vriendelijke personeel was heel fijn, het ontbijt precies goed en de kamer en badkamer was iedere dag even schoon. De locatie van het hotel was voor een stedentrip echt goed: bus, tram en metro op loopafstand. Top!

NB. Opmerkelijk: de receptionist, die altijd vriendelijk was, vroeg om onze 9/10 beoordeling aan te passen naar 10/10 én om de tekst hieronder te veranderen. Dat lijkt me niet de bedoeling. Reviews horen realistisch te zijn en daar helpen scores bij die afwijken van 10/10. Hopelijk stopt men met pushen om nietszeggende perfecte review scores in te vullen.

Cons:

De speciale koffie bij het ontbijt kon beter en de beer van mijn dochter was spoorloos na de eerste dag. Die lag in een lade opgeborgen 😂

NB. Na het lezen van de review van Singapore gasten (16 april), heb ik de score met terugwerkende kracht aangepast naar een 8/10. Redenen: het beddengoed is idd te klein voor een tweepersoons bed. Voor het hotel ligt een braak liggend terrein, afgeschermd met bouwplaten. Als je uitzicht belangrijk vindt, kan dat storend zijn. De buurt was wat ons betreft veilig.

Kiva ja rauhallinen hotelli, tosi mukava henkilökunta.
Pros:

Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Hyvä sijainti, rauhallista ja lähellä julkisia liikennevälineitä. Siisti kylpyhuone ja tarpeeksi hygieniatuotteita. Vesipullo tuotiin joka päivä.

Cons:

Hieman remontoinnin tarvetta lattiassa (oli rikki), liian vähän vaatesäilytystilaa: esim. pari koukkua seinässä ulkovaatteille olisi hyvä ja (turhan) sohvan tilalla vaatekaappi ja mukava siirrettävä tuoli.

Pros:

I have been to many hotels and places in my life, and not once have I had service like this one. From the moment we arrived at the airport to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and helped with everything. The staff are unbelievably pleasant — all of them do their work with passion and care about you all the time. As for the apartment, everything was great. The rooms have amazing views and are always clean. A huge part of this hotel’s charm is the cat Osman, who made us laugh many times. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Pros:

Отличное местоположение, близко к достопримечательностям, но при этом в шаге от основного движения, на тихой улочке. Поэтому спать было комфортно, никакого шума. Метро рядом, не сложно добраться куда-либо.
Завтрак сытный, но мне хотелось бы добавить листья салата на стол и больше разнообразия овощей.
Рядом много кафе и ресторанов на различный ценовой диапазон и вкус.
Удобные кровати и подушки. Чисто, уборка ежедневная. Очень приветливый персонал, все просьбы выполнялись.
Кошки при отеле тоже очень ласковые.
Для проживания в этом районе отличный вариант.

Cons:

Хотелось бы больше зелени на завтрак.

Pros:

Estancia muy agradable. El personal fue muy atento en todo momento, la ubicación es excelente y nos sentimos muy cómodos durante toda la estancia. No nos faltó de nada. Sin duda, repetiríamos.

Pros:

Great hotel in an extremely convenient location for all of the major attractions in Istanbul. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, immediately making us feel at home. The room was not the largest, but comfortable and totally adequate. Everything was clean, new, and visibly well cared for.

Сотрудники отеля были очень дружелюбные и гостеприимные. В отеле чувствуется искренняя забота о гостях.
Вкусный скрембл на завтраке.
Внимание к деталям: маленький подарочек на выезде и фраза «Thank you for being part of Doruk Palas hotel family”.
Вернемся снова!

В номере было немного душно,но можно было открыть окна или включить кондиционер.
Завтрак можно было бы улучшить.
Хотелось бы лучше кофе на завтраке.
